Special congratulations to Colliers Wood, who I believe came back from being 2 - 0 down !

2-0 down, their keeper sent off, we miss the pen then 3-1 down!

Good team Crowborough. Awful officials!

Hi

Does anyone know if there is prize money in the fa youth cup?

I know there used to be.

Thanks.

No, there isn't.

Pleased to see Guildford's U18s turned over Wimborne the day after their first team got stuffed down there. Saved Camberley a few bob in petrol!

I see the 1st round proper draw has been made.

The winners of chipstead v colliers wood against horley or Aylesbury.

Been nice for both clubs to of got an away draw to a league club but I suppose the only good thing is one of the 4 sides named above will make round 2.....

  • 2 weeks later...

Camberley won 3-1 in the end. 0-0 until the 82nd minute and not a lot of goalmouth action to be honest. Camberley had more possession but Guildford created more, and better chances. Most went wide though. The Guildford goalie pulled off two decent saves in the second half and it looked like extra-time was looming but the game livened up with goals in the 82, 88th, 91st and 95th minutes.

According to the Southern Youth League website Colliers Wood lost 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw tonight so the first round is:

Camberley Town v Bristol Rovers

Chipstead v Horley Town.

Ties to be played by November 9th so ours will probably be on Monday 4th.

The second round has also been made.

Forest Green Rovers or Cirencester Town or Torquay United v Chipstead or Horley Town

Histon or Shrewsbury Town v Camberley Town or Bristol Rovers

We played Colchester United in the first round last season and got stuffed so we're well aware that Football League youth teams are a very big step up!
