Godalming v Camberley - good game last night against the holders of this cup ! I thought we did well all over the park to be fair and if only we can reproduce our efforts every week we will have a good season . Well done everyone . Thought the lack of shaking of hands by 5-6 players from Godalming was a bit cheesy at the end as it was not that kind of game ! Onwards and upwards

Frimley Green 5 Horley Town 1

Our performances are getting worse and the team is not as strong as when we started the season with a draw and a win. Frimley look a good side going forward and a good hatrick scored by the forward and totally deserved the win. Our only foward who can score goals played in midfield!

 

Heard before the game the referee (Tristan) was the worst in the league and yes he lived up to his reputation, worst we have seen in years total out of his depth no idea what to do so far of decision it was embarrassing

 

Tried to get photo's and video (First time ever gave up) Frimley lights a very very poor bottom corner was almost dark with one bulb out you could not even see the very narrow lines from behind the goal!

Couldn't agree more some disgusting foul mouthed people at molesey...especially from some bald guy in a black/blue top in between the dugouts and gross people in the stand!! Used to be a nice place!! 

 

I must say that most people say it is a nice place and nice people, so a bit surprised at the comments.

 

In fairness, I assume that the players would not be listening to confusing instructions from the directors box, they get enough of those from us in the dugout! 

 

Just out of interest, what was the game like in your view, as it seems it was certainly one worth watching with some good finishes on the night.

Yes it was a good game, the 1st half was better than the 2nd in my opinion I feel Valley faded after 60 minutes. The was some fantastic finishes on the night - Molesey last goal being the pick of the bunch!

Nothing changed - same people running it and same management. I was not aware of anything particularly bad last night. The bench side assistant did get some stick for a few decisions that went against us, and did get two of our players booked. However, both were for verbal to him so he was correct, plus he has always been very good when we have had him before. Maybe coming from up high in the stands it stood out more to some people.

 

The game was great in my opinion - both halves - and played in a great spirit, with not a single bad challenge all night and no feigning of injury, just two teams going hell for leather for three points.

 

With regard to other comments, I can assure you that we always aim to make everyone welcome at the club and show the utmost respect for the officials and our guests, and that will never change as long as the existing people are there.

Ohhh dear!!

 

Not sure what is going on right now, I think it's a bad dream. It wasn't so long ago that we were beating all teams with some fantastic passing, the next we can't string two passes together. I know the Manager is equally frustrated by it, as the personnel is no different to the start of the season.

 

This Saturday's Windsor trip is looking very important for both sides it appears.

 

Taking stock of the season at this early stage is difficult, but seeing that the main teams expected are all  licking their wounds after recent defeats (Epsom, Windsor and South Park), this opens the door for Hanworth Villa and Hartley Wintney right now. However, do we know whether either of those teams can get their ground up to Step Four standard by the end of this season? They might need to at this rate!

I wasn't stand side, so cannot really comment on the issues in there - although i will say there was one particularly loud guy who seemed to be shouting a lot of rubbish (not abusive when i was there, just drivel), - which was why i strolled round to the other side.

 

The board and the guys at half time and after the game was as nice as ever - so maybe the person mentioned earlier was not actually a committee member but a supporter sitting in the stand.

 

As to the game - thought it was a cracker, with some great goals, some good saves and some errors - if i am honest, i thought the referee was weak, but that was for both sides - a couple of decisions that went for us in the first half were completely baffling - and it was a credit to the players that the game was played in such good spirit.

I have to say that whenever I have been to Molesey (and that's a few times now) the players, management and committee have always made me feel more than welcome.

 

They're a great bunch of people and I can only assume that the person being talked about is just a supporter.

 

I have a hard time thinking it's anyone official from the club because I've always been made to feel really welcome at Molesey and love the folks over there. They're one of my favorite teams to visit and take photos of!
