Tommo was superb. 2nd to billy fiore in my list!

For those of us not as old as RebelDelaney and Hotspur,Mark 'Billy' Fiore was probably the most skilful player we've had since Thommo.

He was never better than 'Thommo',though.

As good a winger as Fiore was,he was another player who got stuck out on the wing in far too many games IMO.

Think he was a Dave Kemp signing from Plymouth, wasn't he?

In his first two seasons at Slough,he was ace.Sustained a bad injury and struggled after that,to be the player he once was.

Draw you attention to the 3 words "in MY list"

Fair enough,DJD,you're entitled to your opinion.

Both had a lot going for them.

I think Thommo was better because he could control a ball with both feet, where Billy was predominantly all left foot. Thommo for a small man could also handle himself and was no pushover and could easily have played higher league football had it not been for his RAF career.

Yeah, "Billy" was great. The way he used to push the ball past the right back, outpace him and then whip the ball with pace between the goalie and striker was just lovely to watch. I'm sure Andy Sayer would agree, being the striker in the equation!
