Slough Town vs Barton Rovers

very impressive all round performance. was so refreshing to see us finally creating at will and looking very confident at home.

was worried we may be a little rusty having not played in a while but we were completely dominate for almost the full 90 minutes and made Barton look really really poor.

hopefully we can keep this going first vs a struggling Ashford and then against a side that has started really well in Egham who now have O'Toole Anthony and Chandiram

Spot on Mr Rebel, we MADE a previously unbeaten in all competitions Barton look poor. We were simply too good for them.

Agreed it was a great all round performance today, couldn't have asked for any more.  With the exception of the injuries we dealt with Barton well all over the pitch.  Up there and probably better than the Rugby match as an overall game.  Most people knew this squad was capable of games like these and now the results are starting to show.  A good run and we will start climbing to where we all want to be.  Congrats to Dyer on his first goals, Smithy was unlucky but we do need to spread the goals around.  Looking forward to Tuesday.

COYR!

Excellent performance and result from the team today.

I thought every player from 1-11 played their part in a superb team performance.

Jonnie Dyer had his best game by far in a Slough shirt and I can see why he was MOTM but for me Ben Edwards was quite superb today. He was in the thick of the action all game and never put a foot wrong, well done Ben and DJ on two terrific performances.

COYR's!!

As usual we've seen the same game! Ben Edwards was class. It doesn't seem a co-incidence that since Ben has been in the team our results have improved. He is mobile and does the donkey work, which makes others shine.

As you rightly pointed out,RR,Johnny Dyer put in a sterling shift. Also thought Warren Harris was at his tricky best. All the Slough team deserve credit for putting on such an outstanding display. You could name most of the team, as nearly all excelled.

My only reservations being that I thought Barton got their tactics wrong and capitulated totally when 3-0 down.

I don't want to take anything away from Slough's excellent win, which was thoroughly deserved, just a bit unsure how Barton were rated so highly.

Either Slough made them look ordinary or they are ordinary.I would like to think it was the first option and that this is the start of things to come.

I certainly don't see why not.

superb all round performance today, at last ball on the ground football we are so much more effective when we play this way, though to be fair when the ball was played long in general it was to feet but then this is the only way long ball stuff can work.so let's keep this up,  onwards and upwards coyr

Certainly refreshing to see the ball played on the deck with well worked movement, rather than long high hopeful balls into the box to no one in particular.

The ex Godalming players now know what the Slough players of last season offer and are beginning to gel as a unit. This bodes well for the future.

It was an excellence performance and great result.... talking to a few Barton representatives today they did have a few changes with their top goalscorer Nat Peacock suspended for three matches and their number one goalkeeper on holiday for a few weeks.

In addition, stats of us not previously scoring in the first 30 minutes of a match lead them to believe we were slow starters, and I think they were shell-shocked by the pace at which we started and the two goals in the first 25 minutes.

The attendance of 260 yesterday was a bit down on our previous two home league matches..... I hope the back to back 4-0 wins encourages those that didn't make the match yesterday back on Tuesday.

Must admit, after the 4-0 win against Rugby and playing a team unbeaten and second in the league I was a bit disappointed with yesterdays attendance.

Having said that Barton only brought a few club officials with them as their support and I don't think they count.

Couldn't make the game yesterday, but really looking forward to Tuesday and hopefully a real move up the league now we have closed the gap on the play off teams.

Could do with Daventry slipping up once or twice, but on this form we are really starting to click.

I hope there will be plenty of support on the forum for Neil and Jon as a few people have been critical lately when things weren't going quite to plan

Criticise by all mean but commend as well.

But up 24 on last years game against Barton.

Disappointed not to see more MyFC members turning up considering the sponsorship deal.

So how many MyFC members did turn up yesterday?

Also, do we know how many MyFC members actually live within reasonable travelling distance?

Gates always relate to results Our first 2 home gates were 331 and 337 and both losses Our 3rd gate yesterday 260 was 22+% down almost a quarter Die hards will always turn up but casual supporters turn up for successful teams As soon as a few more home performances like yesterdays have happened the gates will rocket up Im sure.
