Westfield 1-1 Aylesbury

 

Good crown and a decent game !

We started well as we normally do and took an early lead. Could have doubled it but as half grew on the stronger Aylesbury became. They scored right on half time! Poor goal to concede from our point of view !

 

Second half they came at us and we clung on a bit. As it went on we weathered the storm and started creating some chances of our own. They went down to 10 men with 5 left and we could have nicked it at the death!

Good performance against a very strong side

city had no game yesterday so thought id nip up the road to westfield  for my first visit ! agree nln  good cup tie, united down to ten men you sensed westfield would push on and win it ,what was the attendance yesterday ? and what a nice facility you have now

Great footage TRS!! Got no problem at all in saying we were smashed by Spelly yesterday. Best team by an absolute mile we've played!! There the team to beat defo, I'd be shocked if they'd didn't winthr league!

farnham had lions share of posession in first half we just never got going despite this our gk only had a couple of shots to save one being a long range free kick which he fumbled in for the goal. stu bamford was sent off, frustration, was handbags really bit of a pushing melee from both sides but no more than that. second half i thought we responded very well we had more posession an after tunnell came on at halftime looked like we could get back into it, it wasnt to betoday you have to earn the right an i dont think we did during the whole game! will say referee was poor for both sides set the precedent by booking beadle for a non tackle no contact not a moan from farnham after this he brought out yellows willy nilly an there wasnt one bad challenge in the game. managed to get 45 myself sat so pleased to be getting back after being away.

Chessington played well on Saturday and deserved to win,if they were able to put this side out every week then they would be a top 8 side but they can't and that's why they struggle Mark Daniels in goal pulled off 3 worldy saves but he can't play on Tuesday night because of work there was also a couple of other players playing that hadn't played so far this season and probably won't play many more games from now until the end of the season but fair play to them for Saturday and good luck for the rest of the season Epsom on the other hand need to learn from this and go again its been a great start from a group of players that finished 15th two seasons ago so there's no need to panic

Chessington played some good football and in Tommy Moorhouse they had the best player on the park. As Nogsy told me on Saturday it was his first game of the season and people will see us as a target and will raise their game. That comes with the terrirtory and we have to learn to deal with that.

 

We have made a good start and are possibly victims of our own success but once we can get back to having a regular eleven with no work or holidays affecting things, we can compete all season.

To be fair Rich, most sides can lay claim to that at this stage of the season. We had Rob Lazarczuk away on his hols this weekend. I mentioned a week ago that I had heard Frimley Green had 5 first teamers missing. What's for sure is that there will be lots of strange results and there is a long, long way to go.

Epsom athletic 4 - 1 eversley & California

on the back of 2 very good cup wins against deal town and staines lammas, this was a massive 3 points for us and it has put us in a nice position in the table, onwards and upwards now for another big game this Sunday against Woodstock sports in the 2nd round of the vase.
