Hartley 0 v 0 Camberley Town

Even 1st half with Hartley 4 having the best chance for the home side and Camberley going close with a deflected shot going wide.  2nd half was pretty much one way traffic towards the Hartley goal without many clear cut chances.  Hartley hit the bar against the run of play with 12 to go and then Marcus Cousins somehow managed to put the ball over from 2 yards out with 5 minutes left.

So both sides try again on Tuesday and I wonder if Camberley will regret not putting this game to bed today.

Cobham 2-2 Farleigh - Javon & Adam scoring.

Where do I start ... Only one linesman turning up and so a member of the Cobham management is running the line. To everyone's amazement he is then put on the side of Our left back so he would be lining with his own strikers, surely he should be doing his own left back!? 1-0 we were on top but then a goalkeeping error let Cobham back in the game then we were chasing the game for 10 minutes then Ellis our winger hit the bar and then missed an open goal heading over. Late on in the game free kick goes in the Cobham linesman flag is up soon as the kick is taken, headed in the goal and its off side .. Shocking decision! Another free kick goes in great save, balls in the air and our skipper heads it in with 5 to go. 2-1! Cobham striker no 9 been put through runs on and scores. Everyone in the stadium hand on mouth how the linesman isn't given it offside. Absolutely mare of a decision! And it finishes 2-2.

I have to say today were the worse officials I have ever come across and that's from under 5's to senior football. The ref was totally in love with his whistle and wouldn't let the match flow. onwards and upwards I guess, disappointing but least we didn't lose.

Westfield 1-1 Aylesbury

Good crown and a decent game !

We started well as we normally do and took an early lead. Could have doubled it but as half grew on the stronger Aylesbury became. They scored right on half time! Poor goal to concede from our point of view !

Second half they came at us and we clung on a bit. As it went on we weathered the storm and started creating some chances of our own. They went down to 10 men with 5 left and we could have nicked it at the death!

Good performance against a very strong side

A very decent game of football at hartney today , HW tended to rely on the quick break whereas Camberley I felt played the better build up play more often than not . I don't think everyone played at 100% but good performances from dan K , Nathan , milks , John B , dougie and joe W we need to finish this off after a few glaring misses , well played guys ! I see Windsor lost ? Congrats Badshot !

Yep, and Badshot Lea deserved it.

We seem to be going backwards every week since the start of the season. No bad luck involved, this was another team that looked stronger, hungrier and able to play better football.

I am very surprised but stuff needs to be sorted out and quick. I have previously commented on how pleasing it was that Mick Woodham didn't resort to shouting and swearing at the players; well today he did both.

I am not sure that Tony Thompson's constant coaching during the games is having the desired effect. Last season the young players were largely allowed to get on with it during games, and did very well. This season it feels a little different.

Why are we playing long ball? I just don't get it. We are the smallest team in the league and we have some skilful players. We need to play it on the ground.

George Gould has done well up front in that he has scored some good goals but I have said many times that I don't think he is a centre forward. This season has proved that emphatically for me. He isn't making the runs, he isn't creating the space, and he isn't getting shots off. For all his inexperience (fitness issues) Kane Jones makes things happen and will be a better bet.

Matty Day is getting knocked off the ball too easily at the moment. Maybe Gould will be better moving back to right back? I like Day going forward, maybe he'd be decent on the wing?

I liked the look of Miles Norman today, yes he misplaced some passes but he pinged it around and kept the ball on the floor.

Whatever, we need to wake up and make some changes because for the clear aspirations Micky set out at the start of the season look a long long way off right now.

Injuries haven't helped but they are not an excuse for this style of football we are watching every week. Let's not forget some of the superb saves Dennison has made this season, he may well be the best in the league and without him our performances may have been more reflected by results.

I suppose the real question is, why do ever-present players like Lazza (until today), George and Matty appear to have gone backwards.

The cure all for me, a simple fan? Keep the bloody ball on the ground!!!!

Bedfont Sports 0-1 Farnham Town

Lot of good work done at Bedfont since the last time we were there, especially on the pitch. Pity that some of their players let the club down on it!!! Awful scenes during the game and certain supporters abuse of the referee at the end was disgusting!!!

Raynes Park Vale 3 Ash Utd 2

another close defeat, but this doesnt tell the proper story

first half even with both sides having chances to take the lead....2nd half Raynes Park up their game & took control which sae them create loads off good chances. Their first goal came again from us not doing what's right when under pressure & from the corner scored. Raynes second came quickly soon & at this point could have easily gone on & scored more not for our keeper. Then we managed to pull a goal back with a first effort at goal in the half. We they went for broke but conceded another through an own goal, but to make the final minutes exciting we again pullled a goal back but it wasn't enough & Raynes got the fully deserved win.

Staines Lammas 0-3 Spelthorne Sports

I laughed at Chubby's prediction but only one team turned up for this one, Lammas were really poor today. Spelthorne were great from start to finish and were 3-0 up before the break, they seemed to be first to almost every ball and could have had 2 or 3 more in all honesty. Lammas off day was summed up by having a player red carded for swearing (very loudly it must be said!) after his Ricky Villa type run had come to nothing. Highlights to follow.

You can't win Rother,I've only been on here a month or so but I'm getting the hang of how it works!

If you hadn't said anything he'd been goading you saying you only post when you win!

Now if I'm correct again I now expect shed loads of abuse from Smudge and his minions demanding to know who I am whilst stating what an amazing guy he is!

On a football related note is Harris back to full fitness?

Sheerwater 1-1 Bedfont & Feltham

Game was played at a fast pace with both teams going at each other from the off.

I am lost for words as to how bad the officials were at this game, for both teams!!

But an away point at sheerwater we will take all day.

Trs great footage of the Lammas game. Spelthornes 2nd goal was decent, take a bow lads!!

I blame my return to watching Windsor.

Yesterday, Carl Dennison pulled off three or four top quality saves so I can only agree with your comment regarding the results achieved. Sure, Dan Hicks was missing through suspension and losing Harry Pearse 15 or so minutes into the game didn't help either. But lumping the ball up to Gouldy who was up against a mountain of a centre back was not the best tactic I have ever seen. To be fair to Gouldy, he did start to make a nuisance of himself in the second half but I couldn't help thinking that had the ball been played into feet, and either side of their #5, we would have created far more chances. as it was, we were restricted to half chances that did not really trouble their keeper.

Perhaps some penalty taking practice can be factored in for the next couple of weeks as yesterday's was at least the third we have missed this season.
