Zippy
Hi Just wondering if anybody here knows of the email of the Chairman/one of the Board of Directors? Tried emailing them about a month ago and got no reply. Thanks in advance Adam
Big J R
Is their web-site not up to date, Adam ?
Zippy
Hi John I tried emailing them on the email provided about a month ago but got no reply. Looking to book their pitch for a UKFF game (either UKFF v A French Academy or, if it can be arranged and sanctioned a UKFF v a Smudge & Chubby Brown Combined Counties XI in aid of Children in Need in November). Hopefully I should get a response soon.
Big J R
Ground Hire. Our ground is available to hire for matches/events, please contactinfo@godalmingtownfc.co.uk for further details. This would appear to be pretty well up to date for Godalming Town F.C. Adam.
Zippy
That's the one I've emailed John - oh well, just have to sit tight.
Big J R
I'm sure someone on here must have an 'up-to-date' contact number for Godalming F.C.
Zippy
I'll give them a call tomorrow - just basically need to know the following: * Cost for hiring the pitch, changing rooms and general facilities for a 90 minute game (with a 15 minute break at half-time) * Available dates for hire in November (around November 15th/Children In Need Day) * Stands/terraces/hard standing areas will be open to all. * The bar will be open before and after the game, with post-match food for both teams (pasta bowls or curry or whatever takes their fancy) * UKFF will have a space designated for their bus (travelling down from University of Roehampton) UKFF have three kits (the 1st team 'Barcelona' type kit and one all yellow kit with blue trim and one all green strip with a white trim) plus players will have boots and shin-pads/shin-guards. IF a Combined Counties side can be raised and cleared by Mr. Constable, then they'd need to know in order to avoid a colour clash (so if they played in all blue, UKFF would be happy to play in the all yellow kit). Ref and officials UKFF could sort out (as when they played Leatherhead exactly one year ago to the day) and the trophy and medal cases I'd pay for and send down to Godalming Town for safe keeping at least one week before the game. That all depends on the Combined Counties management and players - if not, then UKFF would play a French Academy side that they were due to play last year. I just want to open up the opportunity of a Combined Counties v UKFF game for Charity - if nothing else, it would be a good fund-raiser and a good laugh and would give the league some great publicity. Zippy
Touched base! All sorted, thanks to Mr. Moulton at Godalming Town Very happy.
Big J R
Seems it took rather a long time, Adam. Clubs desperately need money from hirings etc., in this day and age, so you'd think they's immediately respond to an in-coming enquiry from outside the club. Zippy
I quite agree, John. However, Mr. Moulton has been fantastic and let me know all the facts and prices. The date of the game would be Bonfire Night, 5th November, and one hopes that the rain stays away for the night! Already got the UKFF 23 sorted, just need now to get 23 willing souls from clubs in the Combined Counties down to Wey Court on the night of 5th November to face the UKFF lads. If not then a backup team will play, I just want to put the option of a UKFF v Combined Counties game on the table. Plus, it's good exposure for the Combined Counties and their profile. Everything's paid for including the trophy. I'll also ask Mr. Constable if this game can have the leagues blessing and consent, as I would not want the game to be 'renegade'.
