Dorking v Cobham OFF tonight. Meadowbank is closed down temporarily.

Closed for all CCL games only, as I understand it.

Saturdays home game against Sandhurst MAY be switched to their ground as their home, our away game.  To be confirmed.

Chris Clapham has the answer on twitter

Which was posted purely on an informational basis, not a mischievous one. Having had a pleasant day with Ray Collins on Saturday (result aside) I know he will be pretty peeved today. Shouldn't take long to resolve though.

Horley Town vs Epsom & Ewell

God knows what the score will be in this one having scored nine and let in 12 in the last three games!!!!!!!!!!

0-0 it is then! :D

I will try to clarify.

The difficulty is that a recent referee has reported various problems with the pitch at Dorking, the most serious one being that the crossbars are too low and do not conform to the laws of the game.  Dorking have tried to adjust the crossbar as it apparently wasn't on the highest setting when the pitch was marked out etc. for the new season but following an inspection one of the goals is still too low and whilst an inch or two could possibly be overlooked the actual shortage is too much.  It is not that easy to put right as the posts are concreted in.

The next two home matches are definitely postponed, i.e. tonight and Saturday, although on Saturday, if both clubs wish to pay at Sandhurst as Sandhurst's home game, there will be no objection.

Dorking are not due to be at home after Saturday until early October, unless they have an FA Vase replay, so hopefully the problem can be rectified before then.

This will obviously be a topic of conversation for a little while and it is has been suggested to all clubs that they carry out their own checks to make sure that they are not falling foul of the law in the same way, as we don't want a spate of similar occurrences.

The only reason I didn't go into 'Chapter and Verse' yesterday folks, was because I hadn't had a chance to chat with Ray Collins at the time I received the relevant e-mail.

No secrecy involved or intended  -  Just Club protocol !

Horley Town 2 Epsom & Ewell 3 (League Cup)

That makes it now Scored 11 and let in 15 in last four games

Epsom took the lead before Town hit straight back to make it one one at half time with a cracker of a goal. Town took the lead early in the second half and should have had a penlty, but the refreee who gave nothing our way all the game, even over rulling Assistant refree when he was about five feet from the incedent and he was the other side of the pitch. Epsom made it two two and then scored in the last minute of the game. The very young Horley side played well agin and deserved something from the game.

Oh well Whyteleafe Saturday in the FA Cup (Now who did they beat by six was it Epsom!!!)
