weenie
MyFC are running an online version of Rebel and a Saint's Golden Goal competition for Slough's away matches. Each away match, members will be allocated a random number between 0 & 90 representing the time the first goal is scored. As with the home competition, the winner gets £40. The rest of the proceeds will be used to help towards paying for the filming of the Rebels' away matches where it is possible for to do so. Tickets are purchased for the whole season, so with 19 away games left (includes the FA Trophy match at Godalming), the cost is just £19. The winner of ticket 42 for the Rugby match was MyFC member I Harvey from Australia! There are still some places left, so buy your ticket here: http://myfootballclub.bigcartel.com/product/golden-goal-away
weenie
Just thought I'd mention this again as the Rebels are away at Egham so there's a chance to win the £40 golden goal. Just £19 will cover you for the rest of the away games this season. I think I heard Mr Harvey from Australia bought an away shirt with his winnings.... is that right?

Guest Mistwraith
There are 37 places left for the away golden Goal. With 18 away matches left the price is down to £18. The Calor league have not fully updated their results page yet so I cannot yet confirm the winner. Here is my ticket today, that didn't win. Irishadrian
Mistwraith Now the official league site has been updated its clearly nonsense 15 mins shown between Smiths penalty and the equalizer! will the real winner get their prize? Guest Mistwraith
Hmm you are right, at first they put the "equaliser" at 1 minute, also daft. Now stated as 24th minute! also daft as you say. Confident that the first goal as stated (9 mins) was correct though as this was the time I had myself. If I can't rely on the Offical Leagues site though, I might need a rethink as to what source is used.
HorshamRebel
Just looked at the time stamps on my camera and that shows kick off at 15:00:12 Ed's goal at 15:23:37 Egham's goal at 15:25:23 The club secretaries have the official timings tho
Irishadrian
Thanks for that Horsham Rebel It Certainly wasn't around 9 minutes.
Slough Kitman
My stop watch said 23 minutes, so the rest is up to you. that time is when the ball hit the net not when the pen was given
weenie
The rules of the MyFC Golden Goal competition state that the winning time would be taken from the Calor League website, which says 9 mins for Smith's goal. As has been stated, this is incorrect, but for consistency (and in accordance with the rules), the prize will be awarded to the person who had the 9th minute. Also, on this occasion, no one had 23 mins (or 22 for that matter) so there are no disputes with anyone else. Not ideal, but you'd expect the official league site to be accurate! Irishadrian
Yes it may well be worth considering other options for verification For several hours the official website showed the first goal as scored in the first minute ( see thread 7) later amended but any holder of the first minute would have a claim under the present rules.
