Windsor FC Mascot to Climb Mount Snowdon

A message to all Slough supporters, and I know this is a message not relevant to Slough Town FC on the field, but please hear me out!

Our Windsor FC mascot Scotty the Stag is about to embark on his latest madcap adventure and it's all for charity. Not content with running the Windsor Half Marathon last year, the big stag has opted to go really large for his 2013 fundraiser and they don't come much larger than Mount Snowdon.

Measuring a whopping 3,560 feet it's the tallest mountain in England and Wales, but undaunted Scotty intends to conquer the lofty peak. The big stag has been training extremely hard around the lumps and bumps in his Windsor Great Park home and he expects to be ready come D-Day on 27th September. Scotty is taking on the challenge to raise funds for his friends at Thames Hospice and he's hoping to generate some much needed additional funding.

Thames Hospice are based out of their Windsor facility, just a long goal kick from Scotty's Great Park home. They provide palliative care and related services free of charge to an array of local people. They can't cure the illnesses that they see, but they can ensure that everyone they help gets the most out of the time they have left.

You can sponsor Scotty's ascent on Snowdon at www.justgiving.com/Scotty-The-Stag4. He would really appreciate your support of his latest tough challenge for charity.
