dflman
You may or may not know but I am one of the dog walkers in the adjacent parks (Tivoli & Hartsdown) so am out and about two or three times each day. From what was previously a nearly totally empty scene It is a good spectacle now in the late afternoons/early evening to see all the youngsters and their coaches on the newly marked out pitches particularly with our youth having moved here from Dane Park. There is some nice play being taught I have to say and so far none of the huge mess that the big boys teams used to leave after their games. Hopefully one or two will emerge from it and continue on through (our) ranks into the senior game. Couple this with the lads (and lasses) all playing on the 5 a side courts and it is clear that Margate FC can contribute a lot more to the local community than the Mary Portas empty shop scenario ever will but without the publicity. Hope that the kids have all been told of the free entry today ?
