Fuzzy Royal
So we start our FA Vase campaign tomorrow, and what does everyone think our chances are and what would constitute success. Personally I think we are the match of any team at our level when fully fit. As we are at the highest level that enters the competition then with a friendly draw I could see us progressing well. In my opinion if we could get as far as the quarters we would have done very well, but as we sit second in the league with team that has been ravaged by injuries why not be positive and look to dream that if we can get our squad back to full strength we could achieve what the old club got agonisingly close to. I'm not saying we will or we should just that we could and if the players believe that then why not. We could beat any team in our league on any given day. I know there are a lot of very good teams up north with a strong pedigree, but I am an eternal optimist. One last thing, if you were told you could have a trip to Wembley, or win the league, but not both, which would it be this season? For me, Wembley wins every time, but wonder what others think.... Don't Blame Me
A team made up of local lads, playing for the love of the club and doing their best to play attractive football wins hands down every time. Wembley or promotion? I would have to go for Wembley as the prospect of putting several thousand miles a season in the Southern League really doesn't appeal to me. But if we were to be offered a place in Ryman 1 North, I would bite their arms off in an instant as there would be loads of local games for me
