Much improved performance with Ed Smith showing off his talents ( maybe can get penalty tips from England lol !)

As always sending off's spoil the game in general terms, but as the saying goes, "you can only beat what's in front of you ".Have to agree with the above Rugby were an average side and will get a better picture when we play those in the top 3-I take it we are all agreed Chalfont should not be a problem .Still well done lads, keep it up.

Also with regards to pens should we take pics of them going in the net? Just remember when Dave Deeney had one saved last season the keeper said he saw his last one on YouTube, so he knew which side he may go to.

Now we've missed 2/3, maybe that's something to think about??

Agree with all comments above.

Congratulations to all the players and management on a fantastic result and hopefully the start of a run. Thought we were good throughout with special mentions for of course ed smith, Woozley and jake who all had very good games.

We now have 10 days to prepare for Chalfont and hopefully we can get some of the struggling players upto 100% fitness wise

Come on you rebels!!!

Can't say I saw that coming! A very good performance, after an even first half we finally managed to get one of the chances to go our way.  After the penalty save and the red card for Blount I thought it was going to be one of those days but after a shaky start we grew into the game and got better throughout.  Smithy took his goals very well, and Woozley's play, particularly in the buildup to the second goal, was brilliant - not sure I've seen anything like that from a centre back.  Ed was so close to a hat trick in the 4-0 win last season so he balanced it out to average a hat trick in each game this time!

Hopefully this will be the start of something good, as long as the next 10 days can be used to get as many players as possible fit ready for the big push up the table,

COYR!!

certainly shows what the team can do when it all clicks. we were rampant 2nd half so much so that we were able to cruise the last 10 or 15 minutes,

i think having a bit more freedom and space away from home suits us whereas teams will shut up shop more at home making it harder to break through. yesterday we ripped the Rugby defence to shreds almost every time we attacked

massive confidence boosting win especially with a clean sheet as well. we had a few shaky moments in defence early on but beyond that we were rock solid against some pacy and tricky Rugby attackers

Ed Smith showed why he is 1 of the best scorers around. missed the early pen but rather than dwell on it proceeded to produce some of the most clinical finishing we have seen in recent years from a Slough player. think the only save the keeper made from him after that he smashed home the rebound after glorious, heroic work from Wooze

I think Chalfont are beatable this season but they have a very good manager in Danny Edwards and his teams are never easy opposition.

Although we've got 10 days free for injuries to clear up,it's a bit of a shame with yesterday's fine win that we couldn't play Chalfont sooner,to build momentum and unity.

3spirit I don't think Chalfont will present us with much trouble Theyve lost all 3 home games so far I think we need to develop the mindset Burnham had last year They didn't fuss and fret about the other top teams around them They just concentrated on taking max points home and away from the also rans I don't think they lost a single point home or away to the second half of the table That's the way to get out of this league. Respect every opponent but don't talk them up or pretend they are better than they are. I have more worries about Barton Baks/Unders will be keen to get their first home win I wish the opponents weren't Barton who due to events in recent seasons have a real loathing for Slough Town and will give it everything.

I think this result proves how fickle some of us can be. I read with interest people saying how great and 'superb' we were yet these same people were moaning we were poor after 40 minutes and were going to get stuffed. I'm not always the most positive but I feel we need to, as supporters, support when games are tight and not just cruising to a win!

All games in this league are tough and from what I remember of Chalfont they are a team that will not set the world alight but are hard to beat and very organised.

Will need to be on top of our game and rustle a few feathers early on I think and not let them settle

No, Hotspur, we are not all agreed that Chalfont will not present a problem. Do you like giving motivational team talks for the opposition?

Fantastic result yesterday. Something to build on, but let's not get complacent or, as some fans, arrogant.
