lazarus
Still no web access, so here is the weekend preview: Ashford get back to league action on Saturday, when the visitors to Short Lane will be North Greenford United. As part of the Non-League Day celebrations, all spectators will be free to pay whatever they wish, to watch the game. Ashford will be full of confidence following their hard fought FA cup match in midweek but will be wary of a north Greenford side that has pulled off some decent results this season, including draws at both Rugby Town and Royston Town and coming very close to taking all three points in both games. In fact they have yet to be beaten on the road this campaign and won 3-2 at home to Chertsey in midweek. In one match for them this season, Dave Beasant was between the sticks but that was probably a one-off and we look forward to welcoming Lee Pearce back to Short Lane, Lee having had a short spell with us two years ago, before sustaining a bad injury. The Suburban side are also in action on Saturday, when they will be away to Walton & Hersham FC, kick-off 3.00 p.m. The Ladies are also on the road on Sunday, playing away to Clapham Rovers, whose home pitch is at Clapham Common. According to the Mitoo web site, kick-off is 1.30 p.m.
