Good luck Lads, I'll be thinking about you whilst listening to Who's Next at The Who Convention Shepherds Bush. I have NO smart phone, no access to computers so I hope my trusted update people will be on their toes. Make it a great weekend for me by getting 3 lovely point.

WHO ARE YOU...WHO..WHO...WHO...WHO

I reckon it will be a draw -1-1- played out in front of 424 spectators.

obviously want a win, but you don't always get what you want ;and after midweek, and then a bit of  squad re-adjustment-  just need to settle things down a bit  ;so i'd  be content with a draw, and re-build from there.

4 points from leiston and etu and above all a win against kingstonian would do very nicely

Who's predicting 424 on Target 1000 Day? Show yourself at the bar tomorrow. And 1-1? Top of the league is at stake so optimism all the way please.

I actually think 424 will be a good attendance. Anything above this figure will be excellent after all if we only got 800+ for Maidstone with all there fans how do expect to get 200 more.

Time to live in the real world of non-league football Chelsea fan.

It's not a question of living in the "real world". A heck of a lot of effort has gone into promoting tomorrow wide and far, and I'd rather not dismiss it a full 24 hours before kick-off. The fact I was a season ticket holder at Stamford Bridge for a decade is neither here nor there.

It's a shame that the league couldn't have fixed it so that teams were playing 'derby' games on NLD day like it seemed to be that a certain North London team got home games after away Champions League when one of their men was on the league committee.  An arrangement that we would all be happy with I'm sure. We could easily pull in over 1,000 against the likes of Maidstone if everyone pitched in with promoting it.    I hope that someone is representing the Sandwell clan tomorrow in his absence ?

Are you sure ?  Try 3-1 or even 4-1 and a record crowd. Great article about Target 1000  in this weeks Thanet Gazette, which should be available on line now. And with the next two games at home it should have a positive effect on those attendances.

Evberyone should please now go and buy a copy of the Thanet Gazette - 80p and worth it to ogle at the big houses in the property section alone - the increased sales in our area will help us with our relationship with their sports team

I think we will struggle to get 14,000+ no matter how well it has been promoted.

Well, thanks to retweets and exposure on Twitter from the likes of the Non League Paper, Non League Day itself and various business and organisations in Margate itself, some 245,088 people have been exposed to Tweets about the various facets of the Margate FC Target 1000 Day campaign. Only need 0.5 percent of that figure to surpass 1,000. Plus we've had the coverage in Today's Gazette.

Hoping a couple of my under 10's will be bringing their parents - these wouldn't normally be in attendance but begging from small players " pleeease can we come and watch the big boys play" - use any means to bring them in!

I don't think or read where anybody is dismissing the effort that has gone into it.

brilliant stuff.

I simply can't see how no matter what- regular attendances of under 300 are  tripled in one foul swoop.

its by no means impossible to get to regular crowds of over 500, but it doesn't happen all at once

hope i'm wrong, and glad as ever to encourage debate.

as it happens-part of my crowd forecast was based on what I thought would be poor weather.

If it is a dry (and not too windy ) day, reckon there will  be 486 there.

You shouldn't dismiss the possibility of a 1000 plus crowd, clubs that work hard to bring new fans in on non league day are often rewarded with larger crowds but more than doubling your average home crowd against a team that let's face it,the majority of people in your area have probably never heard of is a hard thing to achieve.

Anything over your average gate is a good feat, any gate up by 50% is terrific,so whatever you get and the hard work put in to get it,consider it a success.

Indeed EU.  As I said in previous post it is a shame that the games aren't more local as the league knew, probably a year ago, what date the internationals would be on.  It also means that it is difficult to involve the visiting team fans in the process as well which we would like to do of course. Leiston will bring precious few on such a long journey particularly now that the schools are back.    Regardless of the crowd today it has hopefully sown some seeds for the future to help our club flourish.
