Hi Royston-you sound like a relation or friend to OUR MANAGERS using their nicknames appears to be a clue.Won't you be a bit sick if we improve at your expense promotion wise.

As someone who met jez (at Royston shock horror) I would be very surprised if he is related to our managers, as he is an avid royston fan. (Clues in the name)

How come he is bigging up our management then? A rival fan indeed why would he bother-unless there was only 3 people at the game lol!

My guess is he spoke to them and found them quite friendly and open (to a point*) as anyone would who spends the time to speak to them, regardless of the team they support.

* non tactical and anything that you could find out by other means

You really are a troll Hotspur and a nasty one at that. Nope not related but the beauty of non league at our level is that you make friends quite quickly (which you probably have not many, especially at Slough) and I think life long acquaintances that makes this level of football great compared to the tribal rivalry of other divisions.

I met so many decent Slough fans at both our games last season who gave great banter, you are obviously not a regular so am quite surprised you venture your spleen the way you do.

I've got to know Bakes and Unders through our matches v Godalming last year and it was great to catch up with them last night. They did not have to be there on a freezing cold Monday night when our game is not for a few weeks, but they were there and that proves the commitment they are giving STFC.

What shocked me last night was a crowd of 63 and 40 came from Royston! Are they really that poorly supported?

Jez (I don't hide under a psydo Hotspur!)

As is usual cup wise we always follow the team that knocked us out ( Slough's fixtures permitting ) so we were at Banbury last Saturday-and I can assure you they were both poor sides-Cirencester just being a bit more lucky!

That starts to explain a lot.... Banbury look like being a solid Premier side (that will likely finish above both Burnham and Biggleswade) and Cirencester are looking likely play-off contenders in the South West.

If you consider both of them to be poor sides then it now comes as no surprise you think our side is poor and any team we beat dreadful..... in Conference Premier terms we probably are, but we haven't played in the Conference Premier for a fair few years now!

No they did not have to be there-but I would have thought its part of the job to know what the opposition are like-though they got bad information about Kettering apparently( some one told them they were a good side).Show you are lacking in facts when you say I am not a regular, been a fan for 50 years or more-unless your my age I have seen more non league soccer than you probably had hot dinners lol!

this is the funniest bit of all "Jez (I don't hide under a psydo Hotspur!) " so roystonjez is on your birth certificate-very unususal

I would guarantee that more Slough fans know RoystonJez than you hotspur

Also, a 20 year old person would have been alive 7300 days, so assuming 1 hot dinner per day thats 7,300 hot dinners. Watching football for 50 years would result in 2000 weeks of football (assuming a 40 week season per year), assuming 2 games per week (very unrealistic) you would have seen 4,000 games.......

I think Reading is older than 20 therefore has had more hot dinners than you have seen games :P

I assume  before you went mathematical on me that you knew it was an old saying-still it gave you something to do I guess.

I can only comment on what we saw-what did you think of the replay game then?

The Banbury Cirencester match didn't go to a replay, so I can only think that you are referring to the Slough Cirencester replay, which I was at and have previously posted my comments.

Yes I meant the replay-but as I see that you think both Cirencester and Banbury are useful teams I wonder what you thought of their game also.

Dont forget that a number of Cirencesters first choice players were not available for the games against us.They are dual registered with higher level teams who didn't want them to be cup-tied so their best team is likely to finish high in their league this season imo.

Thanks but I didn't realise an anonymous critic was the moderator of this forum, that in itself will probably mean I stop bothering to read or post.

Well, there's no need to be like that,Curtis!

The new managers know who I am,Reading Rebel,Windsor Rebel,Gary STFC and a few other pseudonyms know me.Also a couple of committee members know who I am.

You are not aware of the facts.Gary STFC wanted to stand down as a moderator. No one was forthcoming in taking his place.I said I wouldn't mind doing it, if no one could be found. So it appears I got lumbered! ha ha!
