Eastside Urchin
Back a few years ago when Hornchurch v Canvey attracted relatively big crowds, they scheduled our home match the same day as an England qualifier, think our gate was around 190 whereas the season before it was 700 plus. Do they think that because we support local teams we don't give a toss about the Narional side??? Don't they realise the tight margins some clubs work under, these people are supposed to work for the clubs not against them

blueboy98
I cannot stand watching England. Always get angry and pissed off with the side, not enough passion and desire. Come on you blues.
Gareth J
I agree, but sadly there are plenty of people who will watch it. Just look at the impact of mid-week Sky games on attendences, and that's clubs not national sides. Sometimes you feel you're fighting a losing battle. blue pilgrim
I know of one individual, who regularly drops in for our games, who is going to the Ukraine for the England game, so we are definately one down already !!!!!! I agree with the comments about the Ryman League Officials but isn't down to the Clubs to challenge the status quo?
Eastside Urchin
A bit of both really, the Ryman league really shouldn't put the clubs in such a position though.
Ryan.c
The Ryman League are the only league I've seen so far to schedule league games for that week.
Billericay Town Unofficial
Surely you're forgetting the numbers that won't be watching the England game as they'll be at a Ryman League game? You've failed to consider ITV in all this! I won't be staying at home to watch another dull England performance.
jl
I think we tried to change it to Monday but Leiston declined.
