3-2 win away from home. Great result for the Urchins.

Starting line up looked stronger and what a debut for the new signing Payne.

Looking forward to seeing him against East Thurrock on Saturday.

Apparently another great goal from Purcell, keep them coming.

Well done to done to team and the management.

 DHFC 2 - AFCH 3

Dulwich are the best team we’ve played so far this season.

We played very well with a terrific first goal by George. The new lad Stefan Payne  made all the difference for us when he came on in the second half, looks a very cool customer who knows how to finish

Dulwich deserved something out of the game in my opinion, but we managed to hang on in the end despite giving away a penalty

(and conceding a goal) in the last few minutes of the game.

Come on you Urchins………..

Hi, Dulwich supporter here!

I can't believe we lost that game! We dominated from start to finish and  you scored with your only 3 shots on target. I am concerned that we are dominating all our matches but not having sufficient penetration in the last third. With our main striker Harry Ottaway injured long term, we desperately need a quality striker to fill his boots and bang in more goals for us.

I'm almost apoplectic at the performance of the referee; he was truly dreadful! We should have had 3 penalties in that game, not the one that the ref eventually deigned to give.

You look a solid side with a good defence and one or two useful forward players, and maybe you have bit more nouse about how to win games at this level. Your first goal was sheer quality but we gifted you the other two. Based on the balance of play, a fairer result would have been 4-1 to Dulwich, but unfortunately for us it's goals that count, not how well we play!

Interesting post pinknblue

Without doubt you dominated possession but passing the ball across your back four for an hour doesn't count as dominating the game.  That was always a risky thing to do and it was only going to be a matter of time before one of your players messed up.  Adeniyi did and he paid the price with Payne scoring.

Oztumer was quality but it's a shame he doesn't have the same quality of player around him.  He ran the show for you.

It was definitely a game of few chances .. our 'keeper made his first save in the 86th minute from Ryan James' header.  Your only other effort of note on target (bar the goal) was the penalty.  So, you're right .. you've got bucketloads of possession but with little end result.  Having said that, a bit more composure in the last 5 minutes and you could have easily scored a couple more (james again, Pinnock).

Ref didn't do you many favours .. Oztumer scythed down on the edge of the box but the ref plays an "advantage".  Couple of very real penalty shouts that did have me worried (and relieved when they weren't given).  One in fairness right under the nose of the lino who chose to ignore it.

Without doubt you're a good footballing side and I can almost see the interview with your manager .. we played well, dominated possession but Hornchurch were just that little bit too experienced and wily for us and that's why we lost.

You'll do well though this season if you can turn possession into goals ..

Who is Stefan Payne???

When did we sign him???

Could be the Stefan Payne who scored a hat trick against us on his debut for your favorite team Sutton United a few seasons back. He then went to Fulham , Gillingham and Ebbsflett +  a few more.

george  must have won  goal of the season already  yh  dulwich  had the better of the first  half  lots of passes  though  going nowhere !! second half urchins came much more  into the game  funny  but i seemed  to think we had quite a few  chances  in front of goal in the second half   and with a bit  more  luck  could have got more  ourselfs    stefan came on  and  was  quality  very cool  finshes  ( ive seen him play a few  times against  southend for barnet   and he always looked one of the better barnet players on the pitch  surprised  to see him in the ryman league very  good  signing )   prehaps   dulwich might  have got something if they  hadnt  kept diving  all  over  the pitch  for the whole  game  got a bit  embrassing  at  times  and another  day  and another  ref a few  could  have  been booked for that  ( god help  them  when  they face ming at billericay that will be fun )   ..ground was  nice and tidy   a good size  turnout as well,    i   can see  dulwich  being in the play  off mix  at end of the season not sure  how they will cope  in away  games  on some of the bumpy  heavy pitches  during the winter though  with the passing style  they use......all   in all a good day  out and 3 more points .....oh  and  by  the way dulwich are  not the only one  missing there top scorer ;)

Tremendous game - Dulwiich played like Sutton did against us last season but without the penetration in the last third.

Could have easily lost that game but the spirit of the team showed through again.

I like the way the Dulwich play, great movement and just occasionally put the odd long ball in to mix it up. Will be interesting to see how they play when the pitches get worse in the winter.

Stefan Payne looks like he knows where the back of the net is - he took both chances very calmly. Like the look of him.

Cracking goal from George Purcell, no stopping that. Will look forward to seeing the video.

Nice setup there, friendly people and full credit to the Dulwich fans who were singing even after full time.

Was the ultimate away team display...let the home team knock it around without really hurting us then hit on the counter.
Some very good performances out there but wouldnt want to single out anyone as it was a great team performance.
Payne's finishing was something we have lacked recently and Purcell is the player we have needed the last few years who shoots outside the box.

Another mention is the fact we have played 5 of the top 10 form teams in Lowestoft, Bury, Margate, Lewes and Dulwich...and with the exception of the shocker vs Lewes got points on the board each time.

Keep it going lads
