2 things.... We were missing warren Harris, Adam foulser, guy Hollis, James McClurg all very good players. It was lack lustre but it doesn't help when fan or fans shouting unhelpful comments! I know it's frustrating but maybe positive cheers would help!!!!

There was so little to cheer that any cheering that might have happened would have been seen as sarcasm. Offered very little up front again, and perhaps depressing rather than worrying today as our number 10 (Wheeler?)apart,we offered zilch up front or down the wings.

bitterly disappointed with the performance. least we didn't lose i guess which is a start but YET AGAIN it was a lackluster performance lacking in fight and desire to win against an ordinary team who didn't have to do a great deal.

injuries happen but at times you would believe its near enough every player what with the lack of hunger shown. I'm all for backing the managers and the players but patience is running thin already with not really any sign of any improvement.

the players need to stand up and prove they are worthy of playing for this club and playing the way we have been told they can as they are not doing themselves justice at all so far.

now with the injuries we got the worst possible thing in a replay on Tuesday instead of a best part of a week to rest

Not only were we missing Foulser, Warren Harris, Hollis and George Short but Wheeler, Blount and Smith all appear to be playing with injuries. And of course Lake now appears to be injured. Don't really feel we are having too much luck on the injury front.

I think the squad is very stretched and the confidence is a bit low and this is leading to the results and performances we are seeing.

Personally think all it will take is for a few players to get back in form and fitness and a decent result and things could click.

Can't really criticise as I wasn't my usual vocal self today as had the little one with me but thought it was very quiet and flat in the ground. I know how hard it is when things aren't going well to get behind the time but I do think we need to try and back the boys a little more regardless of how things are going on the pitch.

This was another disinterested and clueless performance against a side who (without wishing to sound disrespectful) weren't much kop.

We need to realise that our forwards need to attack the ball if we have any hope of scoring from corners or long balls. We need to realise that we are actually allowed to throw the ball to players who aren't Dave Woozley.

We can blame injuries all we like, but that doesn't excuse the lack of interest I saw from alot of the players today. We all know that can and should be doing better.

As I said in an earlier post, many informed people thought that the Goldalming side from last season punched above their weight and so it seems on what has been served up so far this season in the colours of Slough. Let's hope we come through Tuesday as the funds are vital for clubs at our level and have certainly allowed us to fund some better than the average players we now have albeit we didn't get the final outcome we all wanted. The worry is that instead of building on a solid platform we threw the baby out with the bath water and it doesn't seem to be working !

Not a great result and certainly a poor performance and style of football to watch. But who'd be a manager eh? With 7 of a squad of 18 either unavailable, out injured or walking wounded, that would be difficult for anyone. I know for a fact the managers want to get their first choice eleven out on the pitch just as much as we do. All this as they, along with the players, are trying to settle into new surroundings and gel. I think our support is crucial at the moment.

Tuesday will be difficult but I'm hopeful we can come through it, and I'm sure performances will improve.

in the previous posts it was said that your attack had no threat up front, when we played you on Monday Ed Smith was the only Slough player who played with a bit of heart and bottle, he was at times too physical and commited, and in fact was lucky not to get sent off. Im surprised no one has mentioned his performance today, perhaps the other players have bought him down to their level, did he play the 90 mins ?

Another disappointing game, however we must all keep the faith and stick by out new management and squad.  We were missing a lot of players today, hopefully we will soon have the full squad to choose from.  I still believe this team will come good with time.

One concern for me was why Darren Wheeler was allowed to play on when he was limping out of the tunnel at half time and then on for the next 20minutes or more.  He took his goal very well but surely there was a greater risk of injury with keeping him on so long.

I hope to be at the replay on Tuesday, COYR!

Ed Smith was lucky not to get carded against Beaconsfield on Monday, but when he came on he showed more commitment than the rest of the team had in the first half, thats why I was surprised he played today and hadnt been mentioned in earlier posts, the Slough players really do need a kick up the arse ![/quote

I may need correcting but I'm pretty sure he did get carded. Agree could have been a red but was only yellow.
