good luck to you guys as well.. stop annoying the riccay, they are a big non league team with a proud history.. sure they are in the [***!!***].. and sure they would love to see us in the [***!!***].. but never forget they have been to wembley 3 times (and won)..

always take a look at what you tread on, on the way to anywhere, it may have a long memory and bite you in the [****!!****] later.. that is of course if you will be around later...?

Yes Good luck to Thurrock, Hornchurch and Canvey Island over the next three days. These I'm sure will be nights/afternoons to remember.

I will be at the Urchins/Darlo game on Sunday and plan to make a day of it - I WON'T be sporting a CIFC shirt there until a few weeks though.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Urchins/Grays game and intend to enjoy Upminster Stadium second time around this season too!

Up The Gulls/Urchins/Flee...Sorry Rocks!!!

Good luck to Canvey on Sunday. I won't be there unfortunately as I'm in Spain on holiday but although I won't be there in person my heart will be on the terraces. There should be a lot of text messages to my phone on Sunday afternoon.

Good luck to the Urchins on Sunday. Really hope they can pull off a shock.

Enjoy the day on Sunday Matt. I've been to The Stadium a couple of times this season and have been made to feel really welcome and I'm looking forward immensely to our game against them in just over a fortnight. It should be a great occasion on Sunday.

Make plenty of noise Canvey boys and let's do the business!

Believe that we can do it!

I was invited to go to Darlington so I accepted the offer.

I wasn't going to the Shrimpers/Gulls game as it was anyway. I've been to Roots Hall loads of times, but only twice to Upminster Stadium so far.

Plus when we win the League we won't be playing them, so I might as well make the most of it!!

Unfortunately we dropped Matt when he was a baby and although we didn't think any damage had been done (the brain scan revealed nothing) there was obvioulsy a delayed reaction.

Just like to add my best wishes to all the minnows who will be trying to out-swim the big boys over the weekend - but especially Canvey. The reputation of non-league is at stake but I feel it is in safe hands.

CANV, thanks for the kind words. There are some of us that REALLY dislike U and Hornchurch...Not myself. Maybe a bit of banter when U had your c*rp start but that was that (and like U wouldn't...Actually, U haven't, which is nice - Hey, don't wish to get all soppy here).

I think what really gets our goat up is the continual mugging of our forum by those Little Urchins. Example was on Tuesday night, we were discussing our ESC and one of the little darlings came on with another glib comment about nowt. What gets me is, the game in question had nowt to do with him or his club and still he had to come out with a childish unprovoked comment. So I told him to p*ss off. I must say, even my humor has deserted me when dealing with The Urchins.

They should also bloody well read what the messages are about as well. It seems to me that, any reason to dig, they take and their comments (and our responses, we're just as much to blame for responding - myself included) has soured what could've been a healthy competitive relationship. Sadly, that has gone.

As for long mamories. Yep, we have 'em. The attitude is, when we have our problems sorted, the whole club will take great pleasure in sh*tting all over 'em at every given opportunity. And it is they that have laid down the gauntlet, not us.

Good luck against Southend. After your history over the past couple of years with 'em, it should be an interesting game. I look forward to the banter afterwards.

As for Hornchurch, well....Fair play demands that I wish 'em luck as well but unfortunatly through clenched teeth. And it isn't jealousy before that charge is leveled at me...Look to the earlier paragraphs for the reasons.

Matt, you are really a Class A scarfer - your team is playing in the FA Cup 1st round at Southend and you're giving it a miss because soembody has invited you groundhopping.

I've been to Selhurst Park a few times but if City drew Palace I'd be there like a shot!

When I read posts like that it makes me angry, you people don't deserve a team like Canvey!

PS Thanx for the support

Thornsy mate, I think you're forgetting that Matt was banned from Park Lane because basically the club took offence at something he said in a match report. If my club treated me like that, I would probably turn round and say 'f..k off, you don't deserve my support'.

Sorry for any offence Matt, but I think there is more to it than just a chance to do some groundhopping.

Say what you want - sticks and stones etc.

I have to agree with both Thornsey & YA....

Yes Canvey are in the FA Cup 1st Round, whoopie!! Personally I'm more interested in the League campaign. Hence the reason that after this Sunday, the next time I go to Upminster Stadium I will be supporting Canvey.

To be honest since being banned my love for CIFC seems to have dimmed quite somewhat. The main reason I haven't been to a game since we played St. Albans at home I suppose.

I'm sure Sunday would be a great day out for Canvey fans, but it's not the end of the World if I miss it. I probably would've been at home doing Coursework or something anyway.

Paying £15 for a ticket for an FA Cup game for Southend/Canvey seems a bit far-fetched when I can pay less than half of that for Urchins/Darlo and it would be both the same level of football albiet the teams are further apart geographically.

No offence cause YA, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Zeal, Thornsy & Costello are in the same boat now after being banned from Clarence Park, I'm sure the love for their Club has dropped slightly now too.

If not the Club then certainly certain 'Officials' which is what I feel too!

Well Matt i don`t know how it feels to be banned from the home ground of the team that i support BUT if i could watch my team play against our biggest local rivals i would be there no matter what. How you can discribe this match as just another game i don`t know, Canvey have no divine right to reach this stage of the competition each year so we must make most of it every time we do. Come to Roots Hall sunday and support YOUR team!
