Great post MR HAPPY, a Slough fan who can see what an average team the present Slough team are, its a great shame that you have sunk to this level, but please stop pretending your going to set the league on fire, its just not happening is it !, as for playing in front of 9 -10,000 fans, I don't think you will ever see that again, really do you ?, even playing in front of your large attendances for this level, you cant get out of this tin pot league !

Hotspur is only proving to OR that what he is saying about our past is rubbish, to be honest I am over this now! Onto the next game I have faith in these players that they won't let us down..... Maybe a few on sat shud of got behind them instead of shouting rude comments......

Agree with the comments about poor defending but felt that the game changed after SYCOB keeper made excellent save- think from Dyer- late in the 1st half. If we had gone in at halftime 2 up firmly believe we would have gone on to win.

Best wishes to George

From a Royston Town perspective, after watching last years Godalming side, I was so impressed and really thought they would take the title. In that context, players and the management don't become bad overnight persay. I still feel Slough will be up there and whilst we have our clown in charge, who prefers to abuse the fans than encourage the team, I think we will struggle for the play-offs.

LOL I wish Pete !!

Hi Jez, nice to hear from you, hope sales are going well.

Its early days yet, seen many a team get off to a flying start and then come crashing down and vice versa, you will be up there dont worry. Look forward to seeing you again in November.

You got that hut you had your eye on?

A couple of  days reflection has not mellowed my initial view of Monday...........an absolutely abject display in the second half with us losing it more than SYCOB winning it. I stick to my usual philosophy of not getting at individual players on this forum but most were not good enough and too many looked as if they didnt care enough--surely it is not too much to ask that the players want the results as much as we do

Seemed to be a common consensus after the game that we are not as good as last year (so far) especially considering that most of the guys played together last year..........in their terms what is the difference this time around.

One question for Neil/Jon specifically..................how does this joint management system operate---for instance who picks the team and what happens in the case of disagreements as you surely do not both see every game and training session in the same way as each other.............and are teams selected having regard to the upcoming opposition or just on the basis of what you see in games and in training

I think the game changed once Beaconsfield put their number 16 on Balil Butt who suddenly started to make them play whilst scoring 2 goals himself. Looked a good footballer to me.

It was recorded and out on the website for this purpose.

If I remember rightly they have only had one notable disagreement, which resolved itself as the player involved got injured and had to come off anyway. They did also say I think that they pick the team based on the opposition

I would imagine that they probably work together to choose the team otherwise that would make one the manager and one the assistant manager!

You can always have a chat with me after a game Graham, no problem in discussing this again ... however feel like we are going round in circles a little, with explaining things, and as Gary has said we do answer that question on the recording above....

There is a limit to how interactive we can be, as we are often asked questions (on here, twitter etc), and whilst we try to answer as much as we can, some things we obviously want to keep to ourselves, and sometimes people need to be reasonable with their expectations, as we are more interactive than most.

Whilst not the start we want by any stretch of the imagination, things are different here as we knew, and may take that bit longer for everything to feel like "home" and for all the lads to feel comfortable.... Myself personally I found the first game against Northwood very different, and need to get my routine set for home games also.

I have to say that for SOME people it almost seems that they will be pleased if we do not have the season that we are expecting to have (and I do only mean some), the comments of we were better last season etc are also very frustrating and not that helpful (as whatever side you had last year, they are not the team you have this year), and in reality the team was not better.... as proved over 42 games (not 4 games)

Not saying that some of the individual players you had last year were not better than what we have now however, but as has been mentioned before there are reasons why they are not here.

I am sure that if you spoke to a lot of the managers and players that we came up against  last season, they would have backed up we were a decent side, however at the same time the lads we have brought over do have to deliver (plus the ones that have been brought in and stayed), but we are 4 games in, and most are settling into a new club and at present we have only had one game where we have had close to a full squad to choose from (and that was Kettering, but still without our skipper)

If we are still having these conversations in November then obviously something has not worked out how we expect (and we would be proactive in changing that anyway), but GIVE THE LADS A CHANCE and get behind them, and I am not just talking one or two games.

Sunday is going to be very tough believe me, and we do need your support whoever is in the starting eleven.
