cup of tea
Another tight game against a team that are definitely going to be at or around of the top of the table at the end of the season. Good goal from Lowestoft in the bottom corner. Hornchurch showed good resolve to keep going. Somewhat fortunate equaliser with the conditions helping. Couldn't see from my angle whether the foul was inside the box or not but the assistant on the far side had a clear view and gave it immediately Sets it all up for the derby on Monday, Rickay did get a day off today though. . Ian_W
How did the pitch hold up? Thought I might see an abandonment.
blackballed
Yes great result, we had a much better second half and we just kept going. I thought the back four had a great game and Ricky was superb. Roll on Monday.

kimbles left foot
Well it was never going to be a classic in this terrible weather....but think it was all about getting the win rather then the display. First half we never got going again midfield looked lost and no width or linkup play up front...second half we adapted a whole lot better then Lowestoft in tricky conditions and grabbed a deserved equaliser...after that there was only going to be one winner albeit a 90th min pen. We should take huge pluses from the 2nd half display and go to Ricay full of confidence. Well played ladsMOM Hayles
urchinman1961
First major scalp now the season has started, well deserved in the end in tricky conditions thought the pitch looked great

shrimper
not a classic but lots of effort, these type of grind out results are just whats needed though at times. get the 3pts and stay up and around the play off places job done!! , maybe rain is the answere to the home form the urchins looked better in the second half as the rain became worst , pitch held up very well but it did seem at one point that the eastside might have had to abandon ship the water was rising
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Pitch was good. So well done to those that put the effort in to get the game on! Not a bad game but it was going to be a tough one with promotion contenders Lowestoft. Happy with all 3 points even though i thought it was going to be a draw. Bring on the Ricay on Monday, should be a usual close affair.

Chase Side Towner
Looks like the Lowestoft chairman was kicking off at his own supporters yesterday. Did anyone here see what went on? Or just handbags? http://www.lowestofttownfcfansforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/Forum/YaBB.pl?num=1377366799

Chase Side Towner
Let me guess: Lowestoft #3 goes down, hardly touched but screams in agony, Lowestoft players surround referee looking for AFC player to be booked?
cup of tea
He did seem to be mortally wounded - probably not the best thing to do in front of the Eastside. Having said that I think that on occasions players from all clubs do it to a certain extent.
