Enjoyed the evening,bar the result,thanks to Westfield FC for the coach ride home to Woking.As a football supporter thats what I like about the CCL Clubs,friendly to a Tee.Westfield improved 2nd half,1st half they were 2nd to everything,thought the 3 and a half sided pitch was not in the best condition,and the lights were of a poor lux.Friendly bunch Aylesbury and deserved the Win,wish them well in the next round against Staines Town.Had a nice chat with Ashley Young after the match,told him to stay on his feet a little more,could not believe he is 30,with the pace he showed all night.

Out of interest,were any approaches made by Guernsey FC to the Combined Counties League/South Park to see if their ground was available on 28th September.It would of been nice to think that Guernsey FC,STILL REMEMBERED WHO GAVE THEM A START IN NON LEAGUE.

how did dover get away with not having to play out there on the sunday?

No idea,but some of the blame lays at Guernseys door,for not taking into account when F.A Cup games are to be played.Likewise when they beat Dover,the next round I believe, the Egg Chasers are at Home on the same day.Now the precedent has been set,Guernsey will not get a Home Tie.Probably the same in the Trophy too.

More worry could be going Guernseys way,if the Governments planned Taxation rise from 1% to 15% on Bookmakers offshore revenues gets the go ahead.That will mean cutbacks for them on Sponsorship and Advertising etc.

A lovely ground, and so it should be with at least one full-time groundsman.

 

Very friendly people there as well.  DFC  were there a few seasons ago.
