yep-over the 90 mins-probably fairly even.

decent football for those who like that type of stuff from both sides, on a lovely flat pitch .

nicely worked and well taken goal from Attwood who I am increasingly impressed with.

thought we lapsed into giving too many free kicks away putting ourselves under unnecessary pressure

I'm unsure what to say, so here are my ramblings.

On a positive note a point away from home must be viewed as ok ish.

Enfield a lot lot better than they were last year.

For quite a few spells we put a lot of pressure on them.

Nice ground and facilities, good parking, suggest about 25 MFC supporters there.

Jakes dad there, i gave him a welcome a a thank you for loaning us his son.

On the negative 7 points from 4 games, to be up there you got to get at least twice the amount of points v games played, so not happy.

We were unable to match them (everytime) in the air, that was Enfields strength, but we were unable to switch play to the ground.

Another goal given away from a set piece.

The amount of cards we are getting are frightening - i'm sure someone can give the stats.

We had spells when we looked poor.

Mark

A fair summation apart from "we were unable to match them in the air (everytime)" I don't understand the brackets as I would consider that in a heading contest I would not expect every dual to be won. I felt that Margate were superior in the air in defence against our forwards (who are not renowned for their heading ability) but at set pieces when Wild and Kirbs came up honours were about even.

For most of the game Margate beat us in the air in midfield but our defence held out against your forwards in the air, as I would expect.

I thought the ref was poor yesterday and should have been booking players a lot earlier. He seemed inconsistent as well. Booking Johnston for holding back your player late in the game in midfield (fair enough) but letting on at least one occasion your defenders get away with it. Several times in the first half Wallace got away from your defenders only to be tripped or held and yet the cards only came late in the second half.

Both teams looked poor for most of the game and Margate certainly came into it late on. I think we must have been glad of the point at the end of the game though for long spells late in the first half, after our goal, and during the second half we dominated and should have put the game to bed before you scored.

as Mark says-no matter who you are playing-and enfield were quite good anyway-i'd always take a point away from home-especially on a Tuesday night.

(i'd also take a point on Saturday against thamesmead

 )

similarly-I thought up front  and in midfield-kinch, avery-and indeed the leaping bodkin-won  most of the aerial battles--not good in defending high balls though-wish Craig would attack the ball a bit more-one good punch late on-but in main-left it to defenders who aren't great in defending set pieces as mark states.

I think hess played more in centre midfield in second half and thought that improved things-then had 3 in centre midfield-with bodkin playing just about every position on the pitch at various times-impressive.

Kinch gets more effective every game-and Cox brings calmness and coolness-a proper defender who does not think he is Ashley cole-just keeps it simple and effective.

mom for me-between Cox-qiueltly effective, bodkin and on the fringe Attwood-not just for his goal

good move by SO to take dolby off-presumably before he got sent off again.

But as the season develops if at any time you look at the league teams who have avg 2 points and more are at the top 3, ave just 2 points means you are often around 4-8, below 2 points avg often 9 or less. Simple I know but it has always been a good guide line for me anyway.

Depends on whether you want to get promoted anyway ?

Whilst I want the team to win every game, I equally can't see any point in getting promoted when infrastructure is not quite there.

I'll be happy for another mid-table season, a nice couple of income generating cup runs, and above all- financial survival/stability/improvement
