Ash 0-1 Windsor

Rother

From an ash view thought we handled a good windsor side very well & did enough to get a point, but no complaints tho with Windsor winning.

however may have been different if the ref was stronger & did the right thing with the bookings, but heyho can't change just got to go onto the next game

Had the ref been stronger though we may well have been given two penalties for handballs in the area and a goal for the one that the 'keeper pulled back from welll behind the line - be interested to hear what you think the 'right' decisions would have been as apart from one of the bookings which wasn't warranted I felt he got the others right as did one of your committee and your chairman who I was stood with at the time ?

seem to have seen a different game....as i cant remember any handballs & certainly no ball crossing the line (especially as none of your players even went upto the referee).

So blatantly taking out the keeper out doesnt warrant a booking....keeper taking out our forward when skipped past him doesnt warrant a booking???

but like i said can't complain about the result, just get on with it & look forward to the next game

cant really comment on that challenge as i was at the other end off the pitch, but have been told by several that was down that end it wasnt the best challenge...saw the keeper challenge much more clearly, but i disagree with the yellow, but then again its about angles & expect the refs wasnt as clear as mine....but cant change anything so not much point going on about it

Postie, it was in fact the other booking [11 - Kyle Lucas] that I felt was not warranted not either of those you've mentioned.  Lazza's challenge on the keeper was pointless and unecessary but it was only a yellow and as for our keeper the the ref got it right again as your man hadn't 'skipped' past as they actually met converging head on and he had already lost control of the ball [which went for a throw-in !] so he was never denied a goalscoring opportunity !

So the fact none of our players chased the ref means the ball wasn't over the line ?  Ask anyone behind that goal and they'll tell you otherwise [even my two dogs could tell it was in. LOL] and the 2 or 3 closest players did appeal but the fact we don't chase refs around the pitch should be applauded really !

Ex-Flackwell Heath keeper if I am not mistaken. Badshot Lea remember him from our Hellenic League days if it is the same player. Reading the posts, he sounds like the same one!!
