Epsom play Whyteleafe on Wednesday at Chipstead. It is Wednesday because Chipstead have a League match on Tuesday already scheduled.

 

Please note the earlier kick off time of 7.30. I'm told this is because extra time and penalties are possible, but we kicked off at 7.45 against Guernsey and Leatherhead last year and it can't be because of residents!

 

If it is anything like the first match, expect a hatful of chances and quite a bit of entertainment if you are a neutral. However, it was scary to watch if you were a supporter of either side as you never knew which way this game was going once we got it back to 3-3. My nerves were shredded!

Hartley won 5-2 after being 2 nil down. Kidlington are a decent bunch and we wish them well for the season. Nice to see Beano see you on the 31st.

goal came after our first attack in the first couple of minutes , if our decision making was better in the final third we wouldve won comfortably. pleased to win after the news george baldock broke his leg at the game sat so game had a bit more on it an were through to the next round for the first time!!!

 

news on george is he is at home now after having an operation on fibula which was cleanly broken an was told op went well so we all wish him a relaxing recovery the boys had a big sing song after the game which was recorded for him lovely stuff

If Epsom can win tonight, that would mean 20 out of 22 Premier Division teams going through, which is the maximum possible. More fixture headaches for lazarus, but for the best possible reason!

 

Maybe this League is stronger than some people thought after all. I suppose we'll get a better idea once we've gone through a few rounds of the Vase.

It would have been Mr Jon Creswick in the middle.  Promoted as a result of his performance last season to level 3, so he'll mostly be refereeing on the contrib this season.  He also refereed the Surrey Saturday Premier Cup Final at the end of last season.
