PremiershipJoyRider
I thought yesterday's SYCOB win away to Dunstable was brilliant. James Pritchard only as recently as the 24th June announced FIVE new signings :- Ryan O'Toole Jake Parsons Chris Ellis Kyle Anthony Joe Chandriam. NONE of the above players were in yesterdays team. If they are all now free agents I was wondering if Jake in particular might still be of interest to our management? With James Pritchard resigning on the 14th August and the new manager (Gary Meakin) being announced the same day AND the above named players presumably departing - their win is quite remarkable. Gary Meakin was so stretched to put a team together he had to put himself on the subs bench !!
Matt
I'd heard that Jake Parsons is suffering with quite a long term injury, possibly his knee.
OLDER RAM
As you say yesterdays win was quite remarkable, against one of the teams who have spent money and are being tipped as one of the favourites."THE RAMS" will always be underdogs, and the recent upheaval of losing their manager a week before the season just adds to yesterdays result, Im sure Gary Meakin has plans to add to the squad as soon as he can, I did notice one player returning to "THE RAMS" yesterday, that was the right back who scored a goal, he was at Chalfont last season I think..As Slough fans know over the last couple of seasons Beaconsfield cannot be ignored or taken for granted. Irishadrian
There is a long report on the Dunstable site quite complimentary of SYCOB and well impressed by their new forward Romeo Yash Lol
OLDER RAM
We cant really say we've got a good team after only one game, its far too early, but Dunstable were unbeaten at home last year, so using that as a guage, i suppose it was a good result ! Chris
Could we take O'Toole back to give us a striker?

The players that came from us were all pretty decent and you had a good squad to start with!
readingrebel
I think you have to ask why these players didn't want to stay at Slough in the first place? Why would they want to come back to Slough now rather than look for another club which they did in the first place? Personally I liked Jake and Kyle as players but wasn't struck on Ryan O'Toole, I thought he was a bit of a lazy player.

I admire the players who stay at the club when a new manager or managers arrive.Shows a bit of character and bollocks to my mind. Three players who I recognised as usual Rams who played for Sycob yesterday [according to the Dunstable website report] were two ex-Slough players from seasons past-Yiadom Yeboah and Yashwa Romeo and the rather under-rated but decent midfielder ex-Flackwell Heath player Nathan Poulton. The ex Windsor/Slough contingent were nowhere to be seen. Says it all really.
