Yesterdays Results.

Recommended Posts

Considering James Pritchard only departed a few days ago I thought SYCOB had a great away win at well fancied Dunstable.

I am always impressed by how well Beaconsfield do on their limited resources.

Other teams expecting to do well in our league - Rugby Daventry & Royston all picked up maximum points.

Felt a bit sorry for Godalming losing 5-0 at home after the exodus of their best players to STFC.

Burnham also got off to a flyer winning 3-0 away to Corby Town.

Our attendance of 331 yesterday stands up very well as it was the best in our division (Central) AND S&W division. It was also only bettered by two gates in the Calor Southern Premier.

I think its too early to decide what was a good/bad result for any team So many teams are substantially changed from last season some much weaker and some stronger I dont believe that Dunstable or Kettering will be real challengers and Uxbridge had some shocking pre-season reverses Although a number of members thought Northwood very ordinary lets see how they do in the next 4/5 games.I was surprised that all 4 teams moved from our league to the S&W were hammered all conceding 5 goals .I did post last night that only 1 premier team had a gate higher than us At that stage St Neots hadnt given their figure to the league so there were 2.

Not surprised about Godalming and Uxbridge as they both lost most of their players. Not sure about Thatcham.

I don't believe you can really tell who will be challengers after one game. I'll lay odds that Dunstable will be there, they have signed far too many good players.
