Sir Rebel1965
With a gate of 331 Slough Town continue to maintain a healthy support. However the leagues four lowest gates today put together still don't add up to todays numbers at Holloways Park. Must get out of this tin pot league where the sponsor insists on a hot air announcement before each game, which caused much amusement for its naivety and lack of relevance - so much so that the sponsorship boards are not yet in place and talked of barbeques on a day when it rained! - will the league sponsors be providing gas heaters for the terraces for the winter months? Good to see all the regular faces and a few returners at todays game to show the true spirit of our club is well alive.
Irishadrian
Yes and only 1 premier league gate was higher. I must admit I thought it would be higher than it was with all the publicity surrounding the new management and the virtually new team and being the bookies choice as champions plus the involvment of MyFc. I think it was about 50 higher than the first game last year Lets hope new people persevere after that poor lacklustre performance Im sure very much better is on the way. GarySTFC
Boosted by a few of the MyFC members making an effort from various parts of the UK to come along so will drop for next game regardless.
Irishadrian
Gary Why do you think the MyFc members wont come to a second game or different members?
GarySTFC
This one was a planned effort to get to the game so would have expected a slightly raised attendance. I'm sure others will come to future games, but perhaps not as much of a combined effort.
Curtis
With a gate of 331 Slough Town continue to maintain a healthy support. A lot of effort is and will continue to be made to promote the club this season through Facebook, Twitter and a weekly Club Newsletter (which will include highlights of home matches). The attendance was very pleasing and I am convinced the result yesterday was a blip and results will improve and we will have a successful season that will help to continue to encourage fans to keep coming back. For the next home game on the Bank Holiday Monday 26th August against Beaconsfield I am hoping we can improve on yesterday's attendance.
