Billericay 3 Thamesmead 2

A strange game, Billericay were 2-0 down and were pretty awful. But goals can change momentum and confidence and once Collis had scored you could sense the difference. Cant remember the last time we came back from two down to win but it was great to see some smiles at the end.

The introduction of Halle at half time added more stability and strength at the back, but not many will think they played well today. Lots of good goals in the game though including Thamesmead's two.

On to Maidstone now.

We were mostly poor but the 2nd half was a great improvement on the 1st.  I know it's early days but i'd much rather play Campbell then Robinson, who lost it every time he had it and doesn't show a determination to get the ball, quite harsh to single out individuals i know, as others were poor. But it did stand out for me

Billericay did move it up a gear but I'd also say that Thamesmead were poorer in the second half than the first.

The quality of the football was generally poor, I did question that playing of 'That's Entertainment' by The Jam having witnessed the 'match' on Tuesday but 5 goals and turning over a 2 goal deficit was quite entertaining.

A performance and a comeback like today's will go a very long way to improving the confidence of a team that are still gelling together.

Unfortunately I'm away next week as would like to do an away game or two but I'm looking forward to the Hornchurch game on Bank Holiday Monday.  It'd be a laugh to meet a few of the Hornchurch fans that frequent this forum.

Onwards and upwards.

The first half was really poor, no question of that but let's give the guys some credit they've come back into it and turned it round second half when a lot of teams would have just jacked it in completely.

There's still a bit of tinkering to be done but I'm confident we have a decent team in there and I think we will get better as the season progresses.

Tough game Tuesday but there's no reason we can't come away with something. COYB!!

I agree with most of the above, but I thought the change in midfield made the difference and had more steel in it. We started to try and pass the ball and more decent balls into the centre for people to attack which gave us our goals.  We must perform better than this to be looking for a high position in the table.

Also agree with all of the above, I just thought we lacked a bit of pace in the first half and any service the strikers got was poor. From watching Robinson for 2 games now he lacks a stand out attribute for this league and also think that Campbell and Sappleton could be a good strike force if they get the chance of a full game together. The second half was a completely different performance to the first and thought kouassi was superb down the right, hopefully we can carry this momentum into Tuesdays game now.

Great entertainment. Two goals down and very good goals too and an amazing comeback in the last thirty minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed the game.

It's interesting that some posters have already decided who's not good enough after watching a game or two. Heaven help anyone who has a bad game for BTFC.

The first 45 minutes are probably best forgotten!

To come back from 2-0 down with 45 to go suggests there's something in there somewhere. All 3 goals were decent with two great crosses and headers and a fantastic strike by Poole for the equaliser. In fact their two goals were decent as well! Maybe that's the spark needed to get us going.

4 points from the first 3 games without playing remotely well! Maidstone away Tuesday should provide the first real test. Hope the players know it's a plastic pitch!
