Billericay 3-2 Thamesmead Town

Not quite sure where to begin with this one.

Billericay's performance in the first half could be the worst I have ever seen. Unable to pass the ball, or really even challenge for it. What we saw of the ball was launched into the air at every opportunity.

Ultimately it was difficult to find anyone with any real credit from the first half, and a team who had conceded 9 and scored none were 2 goals to the good. And in my opinion deservedly so. Were they any good? Personally I didn't think so....they were just better than us.

2 half time subs saw the game swing a little in our favour and we finally started to challenge. We were better, but still very poor. It was just our turn to be the better of 2 poor teams.

3 goals from Collis, Poole and Campbell rescued the game.

Not sure we deserved 3 points. I'll take it, but boy do we need to improve, because at times today we were abysmal.

Not sure it's fair to comment on Thamesmead, but in all, I'm not sure you could make a decent side out of both teams.

We go again on Tuesday........

An extremely fair assessment.

Richard Halle made an improvement to the defence,  He was probably the first amongst the back four to manage to head the ball straight ahead.

The elder statesmen of the team, Collis, Poole and Halle, will need to step up to lead the new and younger players and the made some effort towards that end today.

A vast amount of improvement is still needed.

Was not at the game but from afar it was great to see us get back at them in the 2nd half.

1st win of the season,

1st come back of the season

1st home win of the season

Onwards and upwards lads

POSITIVES VIBES FOLKS ---------- A wins = A win regardless
