michael
is one of the reasons that margate dominated the second half today down to fitness levels ? to concede is always deflating, but margate to me looked much the fitter side-and I guess SOHO for bringing him in, and fitness coach himself should take some credit for that and todays victory imo. I genuinely though everyone looked fit. I recall either reading or being told that the fitness coach had something to do with the british Olympic team-I assume that is true. told today that he was/is actually involved in the judo team-again I can only assume that is true-but if so, i'd simply add that these judoka are some of the fittest people on the planet, so if he is-it augers well, and if just 20% of that rubs off on the players-they will be truly very fit-and again it should just make a 2% positive difference in games-so hope he stays on ,and again all credit to the club for engaging him

michael
equally good to see the substitute players being reasonably serious in their 'preparations ' at half time. the fitness guy working with Craddock and the other subs taking their kickabout seriously. Really winds me up when the subs just laugh and joke at half time, and think its great fun just to kick a ball as hard as they can into an empty net-what does that does for anyone ? appreciate this is non league and part time-but its not too much to ask that the players take the 10 mins at half time seriously and do some proper exercise ,rather than act like kids on a holiday beach. whether you are a full time pro-or a park player-time is the same for everyone, and to display the right attitude for 10 minutes (which they are getting paid for ) isn't too much to ask surely-so pleased that an element of professionalism has creeped into half time preparations(wonder if it will be the same attitude come the middle of January ?) Well I've never understood why they are not in the team talk at half time listening to any tatical changes that might happen, and should do same training as first 11 all the time.
