Rod Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 Cant complain about the result, indeed I thought over the 90 mins Harrow shaded it. Interesting to note that Harrow had eight players from last season in their starting 11, Billericay had three. It may take a few games to gel a bit more, the early season injuries not helping either. Evans Kouassi perhaps the shortest man on the pitch scored from a corner, heading in completely unmarked. Robinson was a bit isolated in the 2nd half as Harrow started to dominate, he did almost score though as their keeper made a good first save and then pounced on the ball as it headed towards the goal. The equaliser direct from a free kick was a good strike. Overall a satisfactory start considering the circumstances on a ground where we do not have a good record. But the 2nd half we were by far second best, not sure whether we lost the plot (our passing certainly went) or Harrow stepped up. Given they hit the woodwork, missed an open goal, had one cleared off the line and one which ran alone the line, I think we can consider ourselves a little lucky to come away with a point. But then you always need luck to get success. Think there's plenty of room for improvement, particularly at the back where I thought we looked disorganised. When we showed composure on the ball and passed it, we were the better side. Evans for me needs to get out wider. Got away with it a bit at the end, but I'd have settled for the draw before KO.
