Staines 3 eversley 1

Not the start we wanted. Played quite poorly the whole game but were 1 up with 15 mins to play and our keeper hadn't made a save. But three subs made then an injury meant playing the last 30 mins with 10 men. Fair play to Staines who keep going and scored 3 well worked goals in the last few minutes. Both teams I felt will need to step it up to push on near the top.

Well, My first competitive Windsor fixture since September last year and I was not disappointed. I think that 3-0 may have flattered overall as Molesey had a great chance to score when 0-0 with a one on one which was brilliantly dealt with by Carl Dennison. From my viewpoint, Molesey were denied a clear penalty with a very clumsy shove in the back which the officials did not react to. Even when 1-0 up, Molesey could have equalised when a free kick was well saved by Dennison. Then again, Windsor created a number of good goal scoring chances and, with a little more composure, should have scored more.

The most pleasing aspect of the game was the spirit shown by both sides. Next to no nastiness and a distinct lack of verbal abuse to be heard. No dissent shown to the officials either so great credit must go to both clubs.

Spelthorne 4 - 0 sandhurst

great start for the boys today, after a nervous first 15 minutes from both teams, our boys managed to score from a set piece, then it was just all Spelthorne to the end.one mention has to be made for the second Spelthorne goal which was a fantastic half volley from staples about 35yds out, that flew into the top corner leaving the keeper no chance. was expecting a lot more from a side coming down from the premier, but our boys looked very strong all over the pitch with Ollie fayed securing the m.o.m. with a very energetic performance.

goal scorers    staples 2, fayed, Simpson

Camberley 1 Mole Valley 1 Fair result as MV took the first half and Camberley just about shaded the second. Good to meet Briggers.

Hi Flint, fair appraisal.

Felt we definitely had the better of the first half, hitting the bar and had 2 advantages been played I think they'd have ended in scoring opportunities for us at least, prior to us finally breaking the deadlock on 31 minutes.

Second half worse possible start after only 50 seconds resulting in Camberley's equaliser opened the game right up and I feel we spent a fair bit of time soaking up pressure of them flying down the hill, with us only offering the odd counter.

Game was played in a good spirit and home hospitality was spot on, thank you!

Just nice to get first game, against a fancied side out the way and chalk up our 1st season Premier point.

Well Done to Croydon F.C. on their 4-1 win against Frimley Green.Even more remarkable that out of the 16 man squad, only 2 players where Trams players last season under the departed Manager John Fowler, namely Ameyaw and Hunt.Praise must go to new Manager Aaron Smith for assembling a squad in such a short time, there was a name in the squad though Pinnock, would this be Jason by any chance.Think he runs an Academy side Milton Keynes way,I wonder if he supplied any Players, as the names bar one  Michael Burton (2 goals) are not Regular names to local Football followers.WELL DONE TRAMS.

Westfield 1-0 Chessington & Hook

A great start for us and a good performance. We were superb first half and probably worth more than the one goal we scored early on.

Second half was more even and we defended well at times against a decent Chessington attacking line up. They were reduced to ten with 10 minutes left. We beat a very good side and kept a clean sheet.

Must say the performance from the match officals was excellent- the man in the middle in particular was excellent

Lammas 3-1 Eversley

Massive first win for us yesterday and a game we had to win, every season we usually put ourselves out of contention early as we don't start well so a win against many people tip for the league was massive. Both teams didn't want to give away much but eversley got the break threw and managed to head in 1-0 up. After a few strearn words at halftime Lammas came out more lively. Game did change what Eversley used all their subs with about 25 to go had a player injured and forced to go to 10 men. With fresh legs coming onto the pitch we managed to advantage of that and a quick Ben Jacob brace soon turned the game around and debutant Jules ( dunno his second name) secured the points with a decent left foot finish. A great win for us and still with our top goalscorer and our Player of season to come back into the team, hopefully we can make a solid start! But you never know with the CCL!!!

From what I saw today windsor and molesey both mid table sides!

Windsor A long ball team and molesey try to play but overplay at times.

On this performance neither team deserve to be up there!

Sorry if people don't like my comments but I tell the truth!

2 mid table teams eh?

Don't think you're much of a judge my friend.

Wasn't a great game of football by any means but was an enjoyable opener for me - as for Windsor's long-ball style, tbh we did not play as much quick pass and move as in some of the friendlies but I suspect that's because the 4 in midfield had never played together before, with one who had pretty much been dropped in for the game so it was unlikely that intricate patterns were going to be the order of the day.

Windsor playing long ball does it matter it's 3 points...........the league is wide open

What side play football in the CCL and are successful? Last team maybe Merstham........to play football and to be successful is very differcult and you need the personnel which of course helps.

And a decent pitch to do it on as well.

Jason Pinnock is the same one who was at Banstead last year as were a couple of others in the squad. I know the Pinnock you mean but not the same one. An excellent second half earned a deserved win after a nervy first 45.

Good report Chris

From an Ash view it was good to get off to a winning side with a new management & team line up. Yes we hung on for long periods of the game but battled hard. This was their first taste off ccl football for almost the whole team & they will need to adapt quickly to the pace of the game as we all know its very quick in this league but after yesterday's game hopefully they will learn quickly. Colliers looked a decent side & on another day could easily have scored a couple off goals, but the luck was on our side.

Alton 0-1 Epsom

a very harsh lesson in CCL life for Alton Town who are going to have to strengthen very quickly if they want to survive at this level. Throughout the 90 minutes they had one long shot that dribbled towards our keeper in the first half, and then two good saves in a minute midway through the second. That was more or less it.

For Epsom we had a couple of players out but were never really in serious danger here, with the only concern being whether we would break through. Once we went ahead it would have been nice to see further goals and with no understatement  we should have had five or six and could have hit more with luck. We hit the post twice, the second was a brilliant fingertip save, while we also hit the bar and had another disallowed that people on the sidelines said was a marginal offside. Throw in another ten good chances and you get thhe idea.

I understand that few Alton players remain from last season as many were based further west and the league transfer did them no favours, but now is a good time to play them as they were well supported and will get better once they have a few more players. They have a nice set up and the ground has character even if it doesn't have much of a future.

That's not taking anything away from our performance as the tempo was first class on a hot day. We'll have to wait a few more matches before we know how Epsom will get on this season, but on the basis that you can only lose the League in August/September, then I think I'm safe in saying that Alton will not be winning it.
