Chubby Brown
With this continued heatwave and not much rain I would have expected a lot of pitches in the Prem and Div 1 to be looking a bit dry and worse for wear, BUT pleasantly surprised to see Knaphill, Westfield, Eversley and Windsor all post photos of their respective pitches on twitter this week.....all looking lovely, lush and green! Very well done, not an easy task in this heat. I'm sure others have been working just as hard, but do we have any clubs who are suffering on this front? EversleyFc
14 hours a day watering on the pitch for the past 3 weeks at eversley. As normal looks in great nick for the start of the season
TRS
I had a look at the Meadowbank pitch earlier. It's quite brown with a bit of green in the goalmouths. Was up at Chipstead on Tuesday for the game against Eversley and was surprised how green it was.
TRS
Also Wembley posted a pitch pic on twitter earlier and that looked in excellent condition.

LisaHPhotog
Thanks chubby! We've been at it for weeks at Redding Way with the sprinklers and hoses and really feel proud of the way the pitch looks. Went down the club tonight and the rain the other day us the world of good. The pitch is lush and green and has been fed too meaning its fluffed up nicely. Not having a home game til the 6 th helps give it a few more days before the hammering begins. It's been a massive team effort down at Knaphill and great to see so many people come down and get the club ready for the season.
Rother
It's not how it looks at the start of the season that counts.
Chubby Brown
Agreed Rother but with the last few weeks being particularly hot then it's good to see a number of excellent pitches in the Prem and Div 1.
Don't Blame Me
It all depends on how much the clubs are prepared to invest in terms of time and money. Hopefully, the oiks who ripped out two of the sprinkler heads from our pitch a couple of weeks back will find themselves with said heads rammed as far up their arses as possible. Sideways. LisaHPhotog
People that do that need smacking 'don't blame me'. We'd be mullered if we didn't have the sprinklers. For us it's more about time. Someone to turn sprinklers on, someone to go over and turn them off again. That sort of thing. I even sacrificed my hot lasagne the other night to turn the sprinklers off. Still not worked out if its worth it not lol
E&E Rich
I even heard that Epsom Athletic's game at Chessington didn't require a pitch inspection
Big J R
It's not how it looks at the start of the season that counts. We all know that Meadowbank is the Sahara in the summer and the Somme in the winter ! Geographical feature, unfortunately !

MUREX
Why do people keep having a go at a club that has its own ground ? It irritates me at people having a go when all they do is ground share year after year!!!!!!!
