Neil Baker
Just to inform you that we have made the decision today that we will be cancelling the friendly with Chipstead on Thursday night. As most are aware we have picked up our fair share of injuries and knocks pre season, and feel that to play 2 games in 3 days with potentially a skeleton squad would be running a huge risk. Whilst it is a shame to have to cancel any game, the squad is our priority, and we believe that it is the best decision for us, and will therefore be training with the lads that are fit, in preparation for the game on Saturday against Harrow. readingrebel
In view of the injuries etc. it sounds a very sensible decision.
Graham C
Maybe you should have a bigger squad !!!!!!!

Rebel_Glen
We could have had another 3 players and they could have all had injuries or not been fully fit, would you then say we need more players! Where do you draw the line? I think 17, 4 dual registered plus we can get loans in is more than efficient. I'd rather have quality over quantity which can't be said over the last few seasons (in my opinion).
Graham C
Simply put, the fewer players we have the more likely it is that a crisis can occur......we are clearly a little stretched at present and that is before any suspensions come along as the season progresses............however I have made my point more than once and will rest now in the hope that Jon and Neil are right and that the smaller squad is totally successful..............after all I have had to argue all my life that size isnt everything !
