Park Life newsletter

Maybe just the same information, but in paper form. Seeing as alot of our fanbase is probably over 60 I can imagine its alot easier for them to read the newsletter than to use a computer. (No disrespect!) Probably be more in depth than the local rag aswel.

I might be wrong but won't the news letter only be sent by e.mail?

It won't be in paper form, this will be an electronic newsletter giving you a snippet of events listed on the website directly to your email inbox.

Another way of communicating with our fans. Not everyone views the website every day, nor uses social media but may still want to find out about the club in a way that suits them.

  • 5 weeks later...

Clive, you missed te first newsletter campaign. The second is due tomorrow.

I'm investigating the MYFC email as anything broadcast in the clubs name should be signed off and agreed before hand with myself and/or the chairman and in this instance as far as I know it wasn't. I'm just as unhappy about it as your are.

Having subscribed to "Parklife" I have yet to have any newsletter sent to my email account.

However all I do get is spam from MYFC - was this just a fishing exercise by myfc?

Could you please let me know what specific spam you have received from MYFC?

Not sure you can really call it spam if it's an arrangement that will help to benefit the clubs regular supporters as well as the wider MyFC members.

The idea actually got discussed by them after I introduced myself on their forum in order to promote the golden goal that I sell on the gate amongst any of the MyFC members that would make it to home games. It then moved onto this idea of using it to fund the filming of more away games, which can surely only be a good thing? According to their forum there are regular supporters of STFC signing up.

Yes, this is correct, Rebel and a Saint suggested the idea and we discussed the viability of running it online and for what purpose the funds could be used for.

As away matches have not been budgeted, we thought this would be a good way to raise the funds to get some of the matches filmed, whilst including a golden goal competition like the one you have at home games.

When I subscribed, the email confirmation gave a contact email address with myfc in the address.

I don't understand why the contact email address wasn't the official Parklife one. What involvement do MYFC have with these Parklife emails?

I am not a member of MyFC and the data I provided was only for the purpose of signing up to the Slough Town newsletter.

My data then is used by MyFC in a mailing.

MyFC are only a sponsor of Slough Town FC.

Is there something that the Slough Town fans have not been told about the relationship with Slough Town FC and MyFC considering the way this data is being used?
