Badshot Lea have had a very interesting pre season to say the least.Manager resigned after one training session,New management team installed, Cornell and Pearson have joined Binfield, Watson, our keeper, has joined Frimley, Prentice, Smith and I understand Hoppitt have all joined Camberley. Not sure about Ker and Cousins.

I have only seen one of the four friendlies which was against Guildford, so can't really comment on our squad until tomorrow when I will be back from holiday in time to see our match v Raynes Park Vale.

Whatever side we have I am looking forward to the new season with the normal excitement,with the main priority, the new ground. Planning application now in.

Think with Webby becoming more involved down Cambo he's brought down some new faces including a couple from Lammas. Heard the Badshot lea boys went back there too. Could be wrong.

 

Redrup, as you seem to know whats happening at Camberley,which appears to be a lot, is Darren Barnard still involved there?

DB's not been involved at Camberley for nearly a year, maybe longer.

It was announced on July 28th that he got the job of the Academy manager at Aldershot Town. I personally wish him well in that role.

D Barnard was on the sidelines the other night as we drew 2-2 with his academy side that also had a couple of first teamers thrown in. Some very good youngsters who played very tidy football without a real cutting edge. Interesting to see these young lads signing on straight after the game, Aldershots squad must of been a bit thin. Good luck to them though!

Looks like a fair bit of speculation and player / management movement since I put the iPad down in May!

 

Interesting to see we are hotly tipped for relegation to... Knowing only my club really, my prediction for US is that we'll play 42 league games and upset a few parties along the way... We always do! Top 10 in the Prem would be an outstanding return for us, so that's the aim!

Suprised nobody has tipped up Dorking for promotion,my sources tell me South Kilburn have lost a few Players from last year.Hanworth Villa could be a suprise package in the Premier.Mole Valley will do O.K.,they have a potent striker in Pagey,and a togetherness that makes a Team hard to beat.

Oh I don't know Smudge, Pagey scored for us and a point on the road at favoured Camberley, least that part was right eh!

Even if Dorking and Villa lost and SK won.. We all know there is a LONG WAY to go... 6-10 games before you can really tell anything!

Sometimes you have to take a step back before going forward and I think that Dorking are looking far more organised off the field which is a good start.

 

Off the field is arguably more important, which is why I highlighted Windsor and South Park earlier in this thread. ITK has also highlighted Badshot Lea's main priority which it absolutely has to be. It is an issue that Epsom supporters know only too well.
