upthegate
Good stuff, squad looking strong. More team than squad at the moment, still a couple more needed, but agree its looking strong.
BlueGate Alan
15 I think so far so maybe only one more needed, as CH mentioned in paper the other week he thinks he will end up with a 16 man squad (Sub Keeper maybe),and supplement it with youngsters from Reserves/Academy. michael
for me-its good to see that we have some proper central midfield players where most games are won and lost. hopefully ,SOHO will play at least 3 players in central midfield. bodkin ,craddock, avery, kinch ,whiteley,l'anson. proper combative midfield players-so much better than those fluffy 'wide right winger/midfield types who prance down the wing .get to the corner flag and then fall over their bootlaces
Blackz
Felt the keeper who's played in the last 2 friendlies (Daniel O'Neill?) has looked impressive, well worth snapping up if possible. Very able deputy for CH.
michael
Probably in an ideal scenario-yes-but is the funding betterplaced elsewhere-and would he wish/Gillingham wish for him to sit on the bench. AS you can normally get a loan keeper in quick-I would suggest that except for cup games,no reserve keeper is required/is a luxury. My ideal scenario would be two more defenders and another forward, but that won't happen either. I do hope that at least one quality defender who can play either centrally of full back will be found. Pooley will be missed more than most does anyone know where Pooley has gone to-surely not Hornchurch ?
