If that's where he wants to be good luck to the lad. I hope he had permission and his fee will no doubt come in handy.

If players don't want to play for us and are happy playing "boot it and lets see what happens", then good luck to them.

Have to agree with Blueblood - if that's what he wants then that is entirely up to him.  I'm sure the few extra pounds will come in handy and it frees up a salary for elsewhere.  Will we miss him?  Probably not.  He had good pace, a trick here and there, but his final ball was normally woeful and he had zero bottle.  If we had to lose someone to Dover then I'd rather it be him than say, Beales.

Simon let slip that he was going to sign "FOR US" on Saturday, snakey Dover must have offered him more sheckles so IMO if its all about the money ........... HE WAS Average at best and on a wet and muddy pitch will go missing......... not happy

"Twinkle toes" I called him. Plenty of pace but end product was woeful on the whole. Had the occasional super goal but in general his last ball in or his final shot left much to be desired.Always seemed to not have complete control of the ball. If he does go to Dover he and they will regret it i.m.o..He will be punching above his weight down there.

Not supposed to be the finished article he's 21 for christ's sake, not saying he's going to be a world beater but has talent no question and don't forget the grief Chris went too to sign him! As always in these matters time will tell. Joe healey just about to start his conference career springs to mind.

similarly-would have preferred him to stay at MFC.

A 'loss' ,but no cataclysmic loss.

If one had a choice between signing L'anson or murphy-would much rather it be L'anson all day long (accepting they are different positions)..

where is this idea of a possible fee come from.?

do we know he was 'offered terms 'which he may have rejected.

that given-if he only trialled at dover and can't blame him for wishing to step up a level--he may come back anyway ?

Agree with Vic Pain..he isn't the finished article at all.

And also agree with Michael, can't argue with someone wanting to step up a level.

There's a reason clubs higher than margate are looking at him and want him.

The issues are

Will he get a regular game at Margate?

Will he get a regular game at Dover?

Because of his age, who ever "Owns" him will command a transfer fee.

If he's not going to get regular games then perhaps neither is the option1

I think at this level and the one above he is perhaps more of an "Impact Sub" when things are not going well on the pitch.

Now that is a very good signing, personally I am very pleased with the quality in the current squad, quietly optimistic, I would be interested in our current odds ? cant get to the battle of Thanet on Friday, but will be a good test

Says it all really. No loyalty, no interest, not even courteous enough to discuss with the club he is under contract to first. And as for Kinnear you'd have thought he'd know better. But maybe not........ !

Just as well we didn't want him anyway !

I simply wondered if the club offered him a contract-how  you conclude  that 'we' didn't want him ?

as I posted before-no world beater-but good enough to be above average at ryman level-and offered a different type of striker for us, so bit of a shame that he appears to be on his way out-but you never know.

That's for bringing the article to our attention though-and whilst i'll wait for official confirmation-I found of equal interest the notification that the club had signed Dan O'neil

.Never believe what you read in the papers-but as there is a quote from CO that appears to substantiate it,it looks very much as though he has signed.

Now lets get another quality defender.

Sorry, "we" should have read "I".

Purely a personal opinion. Thought he was very average and too easily disposessed when he had the ball.

No loss imo.
