Neil/Jon, with 2 games in 2 days and you mentioned you wanted the whole (current) squad to get 90 minutes under their belts, are you able to name the 2 starting elevens yet? Also bearing in mind there will be 2 different teams do I presume you won't be making any subs in either game unless it's forced upon yourselves?

The planned starting line-up tomorrow is as follows....

Hawtree, Fraser, Hollis, Woozley, Lake, Burgess, Logie, Edwards, Wheeler, S.Harris, Dyer.

If we had 22 players available for the 2 games we would have given everyone one 90 minute runout. However we have reduced the numbers in the past week and due to one or two knocks and strains (nothing serious) as well we're going to have to mix it up a little. A lot of players will still get 90 mins tomorrow but some players will do the majority tomorrow (65-70) and then potentially a half as well on Wednesday. A couple of players will need to start both games.

We'll be able to confirm the team to play Wealdstone on Wednesday morning once we get past tomorrow's game and know exactly how everyone is.

Come on you Hayes! We lost to Windsor FC 2-1 at the weekend which is a bit of a downer, wasn't there myself but I've heard that we had 2 players from last season playing and the rest were new. Not sure what to make on tonight. Again i won't be there as I'm actually playing against Northwood tonight in a friendly, but will be interesting to see how we do

Slight change in the starting line up tonight, Aaron Lansiquot will start instead of Johnnie Dyer who will start tomorrow instead.

We will only have the 3 subs tonight, Adam Foulser, Ryan Blake and Jamie McClurg, with the rest being given the night off.

Finished 3-1 to Hayes & Yeading. Scott Harris scored for us in the last 15 mins.

Felt we were a little bit outclassed across the pitch, not really getting much in the way of attacking threat until the last 15 mins. Unfortunately we couldn't really get the ball up to the strikers and wingers much.

I'm sure the players and management will learn as lot from a game like that.

Did Jarrell Gray or Joseph Debayo play for Hayes tonight?

Wow, I honestly thought you guys were going to get another good win tonight. We played them on Saturday and got what now appears an even better win than we thought! I was very disappointed with Hayes, thought they were very poor on Saturday. I think they'll struggle in the conference south this season. I suspect they must have got a bit of a rollicking after the weekend. Out of interest, how is their ground shaping up? A lot of their supporters have been critical, is it in as bad a state as they're making out?

Having spoken to Phil Babb afterwards a very different performance from them tonight after Saturday's game, and he was really pleased with their performance.

In the end was a very good fitness exercise for us, and an opportunity at getting our shape when under the cosh, felt we got outplayed at times, but I was actually really impressed with them.

We obviously go again tomorrow, and will welcome back into the squad Eddie Smith, Johnnie Dyer, Warren Harris, George Short, Wes Harrison all of whom were not even involved tonight, and then you will have Jamie McClurg Adam Foulser and Ryan Blake all of whom only got 20 minutes tonight.

We knew the next 2 days we may be a bit stretched, but the whole idea was to get people 90 minutes....

Don't get too carried away Geggy, apparently they made quite a few changes including Jake Reid who got a hat-trick. Although we didn't play particularly well, I thought H&Y looked lively and put in a decent performance.

Hi Rother, myself and Mick spoke early pre season, and almost had something in the pipeline, however the pitch was not available when we were looking to play, and by the time we had taken over a number of friendlies had been pre booked, so we were unable to do any of the other dates.

Couldn't make the game last night as had car trouble.May make the game tonight.

Does anyone think 4G made a difference? How did James Hawtree get on?

Yep 4G does make a huge difference to the game, it can slow it up quite a bit, which does not really suit the way we want to play, obviously if it was wet it is slicker and therefore more akin to how we play.

James did well, made some very good stops first half, he was at fault for the second goal, but again had a bit to do with the unusual bounce of the ball on the 4G surface, where it bounced higher than thought and went over his head.

The lad who scored their hat trick last night has been playing conference football with Telford and Newport County recently, and was a real handful... personally I thought they played the 4g much better than us, however they train on it every week, so like Maidstone would have a slight advantage on it.

As I said a real good fitness exercise, as at times we took a chasing, but the pleasing thing was having only made 3 subs, a number got 90's in last night, and we got stronger the last 15-20 mins, when we scored one and maybe should have scored a second.

Surprised no one has moaned that we lost last night or asked for the managers' head? Ok well there is still time for that person to step forward! As I wasn't there I can't imagine it'll be a great spectacle watching through a fence, surprised they charged to be honest. Anyway results don't matter in pre-season, but we had a disadvantage playing on the 4G and against a side 2 divisions higher plus had an inexperienced young goalkeeper, so I think overall the score isn't so bad. The remaining 5 matches (aside from Chipstead) are all against teams from the division above (including 2 who have just been promoted from our league) so these are the games that will show how good this squad is I think. Unfortunately can't make the Burnham match now, just hope we don't get any injuries a week before the league starts!

You'll learn more out the losses than the wins.

James Hawtree will get better and I have faith that you and Jon will bring him through....eventually.

Dual registration is ideal for him. With regular games at a higher level than he has been playing ie someone like Windsor,Flackwell Heath, etc,he will improve and can only get better,if he dedicates himself to the task.

Yes James does need competitive (mens) matches and can only improve with that, but he's obviously not ready for our level yet, but hopefully in time he will be. I think had we had Somers in goal and played on a decent grass pitch we could easily have drawn last night.

In the first team games I saw him in last season,he wasn't overawed and has definite potential.

Think with our new managers,we will have a better chance of young player progression than we ever got with Steve Bateman.

That is a huge plus point in their appointment to the job.
