Season's Fixtures

Recommended Posts

I hardly think living in darkest Yorkshire I am 'well-in' as you put it.

I have tried to accommodate all club requests, local games at Christmas, looked at trying to keep midweek away league game journeys to under 45 minutes, ensuring that those clubs who asked to avoid playing at home on the same day as their near neighbours (ie Berkhamsted and Tring).

However I would bow to your great wisdom Mr Rhodes should you have anything constructive to say.

You're doing a fine job, shouldnt dignify that drivel with a response.

WB what happened at the aylesbury game?

Apparently a number of Aykesbury fans took it upon themselves to stand behind our dugout and give Perry (particularly about Hateley) verbals and then complain when he bit back, another chap offered my brother out for simply handing a ball back to an Aylesbury player. I wasn't there so just what I heard. Something of nothing just a few divs I guess, generally always get on well with Aylesbury and their fans.

Karen, Good to see that the fixtures are for whole season. This is not an easy job and we at Leverstock Green were happy with the way you dealt with the changes very quickly.

It is outrageous that Rhodes makes that sort of comment to some who puts a load of time into our football at our level.

WB, an interesting version of accounts - Perry's version obviously! Think you will find he was the instigator and was well out of order with his behaviour.

No not his version and I'm sure he didn't force anyone to stand behind him and start up the verbals, however you think what you want of course I've said what I was told by more than one person Perry not included, there you go. Don't really care to be honest. Perhaps you know the duck supporter with the silver focus who was offering people out with his two year old daughter in tow. As I say it hasn't been the norm and I'm sure it was isolated to a few over excited yokels. I'm not here for a slanging match as I didn't see anything but I could get plenty of Winslow fans versions of events to counter the ducks and the truth is probably in the middle.

Karen - Welwyn Garden City springs to mind

Peter - Sure they can afford it with all their new consortium cash and most fans wouldn't pay for their burgers anyway.

Karen - Keep up the good work, must be a nightmare keeping each of the 22 clubs happy with every fixture.

Aylesbury fans - Love the noise, the only club that sang back to The Stable End Massive at Hertford Town last year, home & away*.

*Disclaimer - Aylesbury didn't actually sing "Home & Away", that would have been plain wrong at football.

One for Karen or Pete the Greek I reckon here -

I was sent off towards the end of last season against Haringey Borough for denying a goalscoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball. However, I was not suspended for any of the two games against Hillingdon Borough or AFC Dunstable.

My player record at work shows that I should be suspended from 04/05/13 for one game with the end date to be confirmed. I have no problem with and I shall serve my suspension.

What I would like to know - Tring play Codicote in the Herts County Cup on Tuesday 6th August and there are also some games in this competition being played the Saturday before this. Now, seeing as my ban says "Saturday Football Only" does this mean I am suspended from this game or will I have to be suspended for the first game against Hoddesdon Town? Does this Herts County Cup game count as Saturday Football?

As there was some confusion on the eligiblity of suspended players in last season's Charity Shield matches, I hope the following clarifies it all . . . .

Charity Shield - in accordance with Step 5, 6 FA procedures :-

The Charity Shield is a qualifying competition for match based suspensions. A player with an outstanding match suspension CANNOT play in any round, and the match shall count towards a player’s suspension.

(This includes the 1st Round which is played pre season)

Trialists  : If clubs in either of the above competitions plan to play trialists in the pre-season round they must ensure that the player is free to play. Should you have any concerns over outstanding suspensions owed by a trailist please contact the County Office prior to playing him.

Your 1 match ban should start 21 days after the send off. I assume that the matches against Hillingdon Borough and AFC Dunstable were inside this time period.

If the County Cup match is classed as Saturday Football then the match shall count as the nominated match.

You will need your Club Secretary to pass this information on to its County FA via the usual paperwork.

Always check with the County FA for clarification on qualifying matches.

I did ask Karen a question elsewhere regarding qualifying matches and was given a blunt "No".  :(

Friendlies - Via the powers that be in the last week. Players sent off in friendlies will no longer miss competitive matches. They will only be suspended for friendlies.
