Fixture Changes - 1st XI & Reserves

 

Bromley (h) - Now Wed 12th November

Windsor & Eton (h) - Now 12 noon kick off on 26th December

Ashford Town (Mx) (a) - Now Sat 3rd January

 

Capital League Matches Postponed

 

Woking and Farnborough Town games on the 5th and 12th November have both been postponed with dates yet to be advised.

 

All season ticket holders will receive a mailing with this information within the next day or two depending on the speed of Royal Mail delivery service after their recent strikes.

 

The website is yet to be update with these fixture changes but will be modified shortly.

Why the change for the Bromley game---a pity after those posters were distributed saying Tuesday.

It must be part of a ploy to ensure that supporters are totally p*ssed off and stop supporting the club in such large numbers - one weeks notice - as much as that? After all we don't need the money. Presumably the Windsor Hamster Trainers Society have already got a booking for the clubhouse?

 

What do we have to do to get back to Wexham Park?

It is something that is out of Slough's hands, as Windsor's replayed replay from the trophy will be played on the tuesday night at the Meadow. We're tenants and don't go a say in these things.

The reason given is fair enough---I had wondered if it was bcos of the hamster appreciation society. Just one of those things---trust they'll be knocking a bit off the rent though <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The reason for the move is as follows:

 

Enfield and Windsor's trophy replay was met with a floodlight failure in extra time with Windsor 2-1 up. It states in the rules that the referee then tosses a coin and the winning side of the coin toss chooses the home venue. Windsor won the toss, FA Trophy takes priority for the landlords over the tenants league game so we get put back a day.
