michael
I simply wondered whether in preparation for the forthcoming season; and the elements that will be experienced at HDP whether at least one training session per week takes place in a wind tunnel ? One or two have remarked positively about the nice football played in our first friendly; which is all very well ;but its not too easy to play that type of game against a 60mph wind which will be the conditions encountered in at least 50% of the home games this season. Now if we were really professional in our preparations-and had the funding-; would we be hiring a helicopter to hover over the pitch in our home friendlies to replicate the actual playing conditions ? I wonder when interviewing players CH/SO ask the question: 'and what attracts you to MFC ,apart from the opportunity to regularly play in gale force conditions' which subsequently make many games a bit of an unfortunate lottery no matter how good or bad we play
dflman
It is hoofing it that is not effective in windy games - the footie played Tuesday and hopefully today was shortish sharp passing and good movement off the ball with at least 4 of the 5 goals scored by players using their power
