I guess you had to be there on Tuesday. It was a Tuesday night joke amongst the travelling support in the second half with a quick movie lesson attached.

Support was good. Game was ok, but there was a bit of a gulf in class I thought. The Stork's Foot quickly spotted our weakness, which is when they spread the play and capitalised on that big style.

 

Unfortunately I don't think we will ever match that kind of atmosphere at "home". We are spread out too much in "home" games and the stadium is more open plan (and that is not a criticism just an observation).

No cover behind the goals at SM doesn't help either. Mind you, at Wexham Park, it didn't help that the fans stood in front of the covering there, and only utilised it when it started raining.

 

Still, we don't have to worry about that now....

And as I said before what do we have to do to get back to Wexham?

Surely it is not beyond the bounds of possibility? What would it take to get the Thornes to agree, the Council to support it, the League to agree, Mr Deaner to either fund it or sell out, the Trust to start work on it?

Sorry guys, but the burying our head in the sand over Kennedy Park is no good. The Council's own paper sent out this week to Slough residents talks about the football part of the plan in the very vaguest of maybe's - if they don't really believe it, why should we?

In any case we DO NOT HAVE THE TIME to wait for the five years or more this is increasingly likely to take. Anybody seen any news about the plans and the finances plus backers lately? We have now two years and 8/9 months at Windsor, funds permitting - can anybody really see us in Kennedy Park in that time?

Surely a more motivating feasibility study for the new Trust would be to see what will it take to get us back to Wexham Park, where there is a ground of the right standard unused, which is a much more realistic option than a new stadium which has as much chance of being built as any of us winning the Lotto. Let's go for it!

The starting point for a return would be Mr Deaner paying the outstanding rent. To the best of my knowledge he's certainly not cleared the £70,000 still owing. At such time as to when he can manage his finances a bit better and not promise things he cannot afford, then maybe, just maybe a move back into WP will be on the cards.

Exactly. Can he manage his own money? No. Can he make promises he can't fulfil? Always.

 

How long before people wake up and realise that even if he does pull this whole thing off, we'll probably get screwed over as part of it.

Yes Andrew ..we agree with your principles and you always make fair comments...But we also need action and help , we the new supporters trust need people like you on our board ?? how about it...get your name backed and join us please....

 

then we can work towards working something out ...just like you said ....See how we can secure a move back to Wexham Park ... new team new club ??? but the biggest stumbling block will be Byron Thorne, however I can talk to him , his dad is a ill man and to distrub him would be quite wrong.

 

We also have to see how the council can secure our future (without MD) if this is really what will happen ??? I really hope not but it is time for MD to come up with the goods....we all agree....but its going to take a massive effort by everyone to acheive this task not just the few...

 

Lets get it together...firstly lets get the trust set up properly and move forward...
