The Mayor Of Simpleton
Thought I'd post a thread here for clubs that go under/get wound up this season. Two so far - Darlaston Town and AFC Wombourne are consigned to the history books. Please feel free to add to the list throughout the season. Big J R
Could be quite a list by the end of the coming season, Adam.
The Mayor Of Simpleton
I hope the number of clubs that go under isn't as big as in previous seasons, but as you imply John it could be an interesting list. Sidley United might be next to go (and rumour is that even Gloucester City could fold soon!)
The Mayor Of Simpleton
Confirmed tonight that Sidley United will sit this season out - however they are NOT dead. They hope that they can come back fresh in 2014-15.

Zippy
Taking over from the Mayor... Looks like Malvern Town are in a bit of a pickle - they need £100,000 to pay off a debt to Marstons or they lose their home! http://www.malverngazette.co.uk/news/10631057.Club_forced_to_sell_up_to_fund___100_000_debt/?action=success
Big J R
Marstons the Brewers ? Their fault for supplying so much beer to the clubhouse on tick !!
Zippy
RUMOURED that they were selling the beer too cheaply, as their debt years ago (2008) was half that.
FITBhighlights
http://www.northantstelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/kettering-town/poppies-wound-up-at-high-court-1-5447254#.UiSnu2i8zGg.twitter Looks bleak for Kettering, although I think they have an appeal
Zippy
FTIB, this is just as I feared. It's been a long and painful demise for them - hopefully AFC Kettering will be set up soon at the town's running track and they can work at climbing the league once again. I can still recall a few of their giant-killing exploits in the late 80s/early 90s. A major shame, and Ritchie is a decent guy who was plugging 1000s of holes in the dam walls. UKFF tried to help them out with players last season as well. Imran Ladak has the blood of the Poppies on his hands.

Zippy
That is impressive, but how long again before they are in trouble? It never seems to end with them.
Eastside Urchin
Anyone that gives money to them or other clubs in their position is an idiot.
Zippy
Sadly, I have to agree. You can only put up with a bad tooth for so long - one day, you are going to have to have it pulled. Same with Kettering Town - for the best part of two years they have been lurching from crisis to crisis. Losing Rockingham Road, then being kicked out of Nene Park and then having to beg Corby Town and now Burton Park Wanderers for permission to ground-share. I wish them well, but maybe the best thing for them to do is to resign and start again in the UCL next season. At least that way, as a fan-owned club, they can be hopefully be back in the Conference Premier within 10 years.
Zippy
Better news for Malvern - two young new owners (youngest in the country?) and the debts will hopefully be settled soon: http://www.malverngazette.co.uk/news/10703031.Local_lads_rescue_Malvern_Town_FC/?ref=mr
