Really????

The comments made by the Hornchurch manager in the Non League Paper just adds to my low opinion of what has become of them...

That they were looking for a club in the BSBS to have financial problems and gain a reprieve from a relegation that on performance was earned just sums the whole club up.

Oh do me a favour gazza, they are just being honest.

Had 3 clubs gone bust, you would of quite happily took a reprieve and not gave two hoots about the clubs involved.

Anyway, now that a club like Hornchurch, and Billericay, who are run without danger of going bust or over spending themselves were relegated it makes a mockery of the league when other clubs, namely farnborough can be allowed to run up huge debts of £2 million plus and be allowed to get away with it,in the process probably damaging many local business' in the process.

Would you really of shed a tear for them had they gone to the wall, again!!!

Honestly... I think it a shame if any club goes to the wire financially. It could happen to any club.

And every club has its own history, community and supporters... Most that have supported their club for a good few years.

I also think it a shame that a club looks to another to go under or face financial difficulties to gain a reprieve... Why should they have that reprieve? They didn't earn the right to stay up...

You could use the same argument on my next suggestion BUT and those I have had this conversation with can confirm.... I think the club that lost out on promotion through a play off should be offered promotion other than the club who's performance over a season resulted in relegation.

But hey, your and your chairmans comments do not surprise me one bit... Shamelessly selfish with no regard for those supporting clubs that are facing financial hardships.... Whatever the reason.

Garbage gazza.

I didn't see too much sympathy from the Billericay faithful towards our fans when we went bust and to be quite honest,I wouldn't really want or expect it.

Personally,I don't think clubs should be reprieved at best a play off with the loser of the play offs but I wouldn't even offer them that.

We went down because we weren't good enough, everyone knows that, same as your lot.But we don't write the rules of football, someone else does and if a reprieve is on the cards you take it,we would, you would and every single other I would.

The difference between me and you is that I wouldn't sit at home on a keyboard pretending that I felt sorry for the other clubs fans while secretly punching the air in delight at a reprieve

I hasten to add that this is my opinion and the opinion of those you call the Billericay "faithfull", who, I wouldn't even presume to second guess.

Now, cast your eyes over this... I (my opinion) think it a shame for any club that faces financial issues. Maybe not for the people that got the club into that prosition but from the fact that there maybe someone like myself that would be concerned for the future of the club. For those, whatever the club, has some affection, some emotional tie.

That you would celebrate a club, any club going under, to further your clubs unearned ambition to stay in the BSBS just speaks volumes about you and your attitude.

What would I think if Billericay benefitted from a situation that you and your chairman was hanging on for? I would feel as I do currently, in other words, the same... and I would be concerned that we would be in the same position come the following year. That I am a mere supporter and not party to the decision would mean that regardless of how I felt, it would still happen. But (and pay attention) I WOULD NOT AGREE WITH IT. Would it change my support for my club...no... I would still support it and do what I do because whatever decision the powers in charge of our game make (and I hold them in lower regard than I do you at times), I can actually process the two things seperately.

Relegation isn't nescessary a bad thing, especially when, if we were being honest, that we found ourselves a little punching outside our weight (as the record books suggest you were too). If you are a progressive club, you regroup, apply the lessons learned and push on for the next season, stronger for the experience. And I believe Billericay will do just that... I don't doubt we'll be back...I don't see our psoition as a negative at all. It's all part of taking part and playing the game.

But in your case, you would rather see a club be relegated or go under to benefit yourselves, yourselves a relegated club...pretty negative there...whereas I would prefer a club that on performance over a season (albeit for one game in the play offs) to benefit from promotion. So I would prefer a club going up on performance than a club that had done bugger all the previous season to earn the right to stay where they were. I consider that quite positive considering....

As regards your "Utter garbage" comment. How so... This is my opinion and if it is indeed utter garbage, then some of the utterances that you and some of your fellow supporters post on this forum are worse than the raw untreated effluence that gets washed away into our rivers.

Who is celebrating or would be celebrating??

The comment was an honest one that any clubs supporters or chairman would simply like to get a reprieve if one was available.

Had it happened,we wouldn't of had a party to celebrate but don't let that get in the way of a good story gazza.

One would suggest you find a cool room as this heat has obviously got too much for you
