I think we badly need some good news. No cup run this season. Likely to finish below last seasons position for the 5th year running. No ground. Falling attendances. No PR lessons learned by the owner. Not a lot to look forward to.

Fifth year running? How did we go from ninth (Two years ago when in Ryman Division One) to fourth (Ryman Division One North last season) and still manage to be lower?

 

Mind you, I agree with the rest of it.

With the split of Division 1 into regions, 9th in div 1, equates to about 4th in Div 1 North. Should have said that it looks like that for the 5th season running we will fail to improve on the previous season, and in most have done worse.

Being very pedantic, in the overall scheme of things, Division One and Division One North both are classified as level seven in the whole scheme of things...

 

Mind you, finish outside the top six this year and we can try and win the FA Vase next year!

If you combine level 7 (Div 1) with level 8 (Div 2), then, to my mind, if you finish in the bottom half of either of the 2 regional divisions, you've, in effect, gone down a grade.

When was the last time Slough Town played in the FA Vase? Just out of interest. Because that would really prove how far we've slipped since 1998.

I don't think that we have ever competed in the FA Vase.

So if that's true it would represent a new all-time low in the club's history? Great !
