Well I could give you the obvious excuses that... Hitchin are our bogey team and I don't remember us ever winning there. Or how about, we play s**t when we play in blue?!<p>The fact of the matter is today Canvey were outclassed in midfield I think Miller & Parmenter were particually poor, and Danny Bolt should start Monday. Hitchin should actually have won 4-1 , with Carl Drew missing two great oppertunities. We were caught asleep at the back where their two wide forwards slipped past our back three with ease. Ah! Poor little Pumpkin...<p>Mind you, having heard your lot harping on about the quality in your side, I wouldn't have thought playing in blue would be much trouble! Another excuse to add to the list though!<p>We played in yellow today...not such a bad colour after all (but only in a temporary away fixture kind of way!)<p>IT'S NOT OVER YET!

It's true Daz, we do play crap in blue! I only remember us playing decent football once in oure away kit this season at Sutton. But that was only in the last 20mins after being 1-0 down after most of the game.<p>We played crap in blue against Purfleet & today at Hitchin. That's also worrying as we've got to do it twice again against Basingstoke & Braintree. So that will be another 6 points down the drain and Gravesend take the title... Of course Canvey can win the league. We've proven that time & time again that we have the ability to do it and can hold our own against conference teams. Chester, Stevenage, Telford etc.<p>But it just got harder for us as of yesterday. Gravesend need to drop three points and we need to win all our games to tie level.<p>Gravesend win all their games. = 106 points.

Canvey win all their games. = 103 points.<p>Perhaps Purfleet can do us a favour tomorrow and Bedford on the last day play a blinder and win. We put another 5 past Basingstoke, another 4 past Sutton, Whip Braintree take the Championship back to Park Lane that evening, get drunk. Super Daz - Talk sense lad, your excuse after your defeat on Tuesday was ' We didn't play well' an excuse of course! are GNFC the only ones allowed to voice an excuse. Don't forget, you said it yourself, it ain't over yet. Another point: It has been GNFC posting on the forum constantly; I have visited GNFC message board almost every day, the postings by CIFC supporters is minimal and nowhere near as acrid as those posted on this board by yourself, fellow supporters and those to whom you have formed an alliance. Perhaps CIFC should invade your board in numbers and see just how well you take that situation.

Vic - I would suggest to you that the reason CIFC supporters don't invade the GNFC message board is because there aren't any. You have been top of the league for the vast majority of the season and your poxy team are still only attracting about 500 people per game. Nobody really gives a toss about Canvey, and in a few years time when fat gut King's enthusiasm and money runs out, you will be back in the Essex county league with three pikeys and a Goose for a crowd.

Yeah thats a bit strong Sal, behave yourself. It doesn't really matter how many people attend ya matches, sure big crowds help, but a steady source of income, a good manager,a well run club with spirited directors who dig deep are greater attributes to running a club in this millenia. However, I don't see the club on the marshes being a big noise for decades to come. If i were a tycoon looking for a club to sponsor as a hobby i'd look for somewhere with a central location. Braintree is well placed in that respect in the middle of Essex without a senior club within 15 miles.

Daz - Quite frankly you have made so many postings on this board since you found us that I am most definitely not going to go through them all and pick out the 'finer' points that you have made about the club its supporters and management; one thing I am not, is a masochist!(or words to that effect) .

I do recall a posting on your own forum that was not in the best of tastes and your fellow supporters were of the same opinion.<p>I do confess however to enjoying one of your postings regarding obtaining additional digital channels and for that I must thank you.

The offensive article you talk about was a spoof reply to a spoof posting...unfortunately people took it the wrong way & exaggerated the meaning!!! Linking to all sorts of unrelated events!!! All over & done with now though...<p>Funny thing, the internet...gives you a chance to be something you're not in real-life!<p>Easiest way out was to apologise...<p>Glad you enjoyed the sky-digital posting...there's actually a few foreign channels that can be obtained in the same manner...but at the moment they are not very good.<p>
