Chris Clapham
So where does that leave the kent League now? Not sure but the report states the FA will be stronger in redirecting clubs for the 2014/15 season. This could affect some CCL clubs too!!!!! Krooner
I wonder what will happen with Alton as they were appealing as well
sparky100
Alton announced 2-3 weeks ago that they lost their appeal and that they will be in the CCL for the 2013/14 season.
Don't Blame Me
Don't think they will get quite such an easy ride myself. Nor do I. Considering how far south both clubs are compared to others, I doubt they will have much luck. I hope that they enjoy trips to Devon etc lol

Terrence Collina
lost the appeal but compensated for the additional expenses likely to occur with the division change http://godalmingtownfc.co.uk/gt/outcome-of-fa-appeal/

Don't Blame Me
Looking at Guildford's and Godalming's appeals, it made me think that shouldn't the Southern League be restructured on an east/west split? Wonder what other forumites think.
E&E Rich
Technically, the Southern League is almost split that way now. For East, read Central Division. If you went any further east and included Anglia the Ryman League would be very happy to be restricted to the South East / M25 but Southern League clubs would be fuming. Lowestoft v Truro anyone? It's probably a longer journey than from London to Glasgow! The FA will need to be very clear on this reconsideration they are giving for next year as giving money to clubs will fuel more appeals in the future. This year it's Godalming and Guildford but let's say two go up from that division (not them) and four clubs go down from the Southern Premier who are not based in that area (say four of these seven, Arlesey, Bedford, Hitchin, Biggleswade, Cambridge St Albans or Corby)? Next season it could be any of Egham, Ashford Town or Chertsey making the trip too, so the FA need to be prepared for the inevitable appeals that would follow by way of either a watertight qualification process or a large compensatory vat of money based on the precedent they have set here. In addition as many of twelve of our clubs could, if promoted, find themselves in that division next season. Something else to consider when playing in such a closely knitted league as ours. E&E Rich
Southwick appear to have been relegated, despite the bottom two in Division Two (Rustington and Saltdean) being reprieved. Can't be ground grading, so I wonder what has happened there?

E&E Rich
On the TK Forum someone advises that the FA instructed the Sussex League to relegate them because of insolvency. First time I've heard that used as a reason for a relegation. A ten point penalty maybe, but not a relegation. Seems harsh!
